This will be the first year I've heard of and am participating in the Duke's Group Iditarod! I'm kind of nervous and excited (and hope I did everything right!).
What is your team name? For lack of a better name, my team name is Thor. Easy to remember. Easy to spell. Also, God of Thunder: thunder goes fast. Fast. That's me.
I know this team looks like an advertisement for Buck's PUGs shop, but I assure you, I am not sponsored by Medusa. In fact, not all the dogz were bred by her. Fun fact: the two lead dogz are the only two non-dalmatian mix dogz, making my team the "Almost Tamsin Poster Team". (Hah, that should have been my team name...)
Who is part of your team and why? I pulled this team together from dogz that I've adopted from the community since joining in June; some of you might recognize them. I really didn't have any sled-type dogz, and I really didn't want to adopt 16 malamutes/huskies just for this race (without having time to know them or play with them). And I have so many dogz that I've adopted and raised that I decided to make my team from them. Although I love the fur (and lovely eyes) on malamutes/huskies (muzzled is really pretty on them!), I'm really not into the breed myself; the animation of the mouth is just not my jam. I love the huskies from Cirrutopia, but those aren't an approved version of Husky for PKC (I think? Though does that mean I can show them as Companions at the very least?).
Why did I go with my food? I'm a total noob when it comes to Iditarod (I had to look up how to spell this even), so I just did a quick Google search for "sled dog food". I hope this one works out!
My goals for the future? Maybe if this team does well, I'll run another Tamsin sled dog team with these and/or their offspring.
What is with this thread? Currently, I wanted to use this thread to talk about my team and introduce them in pairs since I won't have time to introduce them all at once. You are more than welcome to post here and talk about random nonsense; I'm pretty chill.
