I have a Ton of ideas for contests we can hold, I can't even remember all of them lol. As I remember them, I will add them in. Here in this thread I will post all the contest Ideas I have. You will then be able to pick and choose which contest you'd like to hold for that particular week. I suggest everyone pick a different contest to hold for that week instead of duplicate contests, or everyone doing the same thing. If you pick one one week, I suggest picking a different one the next week to give everyone a chance. Of course at this time if there isn't enough shows for everyone to have a different one then you are allowed to pick one that some one else is already doing. Feel free to put your own twists on these as well! If you guys think of any more contests that would be fun, please do post them as a reply to this thread! Thanks and have fun!

#1: The Paint Game! I think it's Duke's Favorite game lol. Here's how ya play: Go to an empty room and set out up to 10 paint cans. You then change the colors and set out the brushes, then switch the colors again so all the colors are taken. Once all colors are taken you can start duplicating colors. So you should now have 10 paint cans, and 10 brushes set out. (You can do a couple less paint cans as long as all the colors are taken - though you can leave out the natural color of the dog if you want to. I think it makes it easier). Each color is worth 2 points, except for 1. I usually pick red, but you can do any color you want. That color is worth 5 points. The color that is worth 5 points, you only have 1 can or brush of that color. No duplicates of this color. You then let the pet out and time it for 2 min. letting it paint itself. For every color it gets on him/her it get's 2 or 5 points. If it gets a color twice, it get's 2 more points...etc... At the end of 2 min. you add up all the points. I recommend writing down each color, and marking how many times they got that color on them. If you have more than 1 pet playing this game, you do them seperate (other wise it's too hard to keep track). The 3 that get the most points get's placed 1st through 3rd. Getting those pets bonus points: 1st: 3 Points 2nd: 2 Points 3rd: 1 Point Example: Dogs 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5 Dog 1: 17 Points Dog 2: 13 Points Dog 3: 10 Points Dog 4: 20 Points Dog 5: 15 Points So since Dog 4 has the most points, he would get 1st. Dog 1 has 2nd most, so he'd get 2nd. And Dog 5 would come in 3rd. Giving those dogs a total of: 1st: Dog 4 : 23 Points 2nd: Dog 1: 19 Points 3rd: Dog 5: 16 Points Fun no? Of course you can add your own twist to this game, but you should let us all know what the twist is .

#2: The Auto Rolling Ball Game Duke's 2nd favorite game . I came up with this game a long time ago as a type of game for herding dogs, but all dogs can play! There are also a Ton of twists you can put on this game! I give you a few ideas. First of all, the basics: Get 9 Auto Rolling Balls, and take them to an empty room. In the empty room, you take out all the auto rolling balls. You then let your pet out and time it for 2 min. For every ball the pet catches, picks up, AND brings back to you, you place it back in the carry case. For every Auto Rolling Ball caught, your pet gets 2 points. So at the end of 2 min. you count how many auto balls are in the case and add up the points. If you have more than 1 pet playing this game, you'll do the same as the paint game, awarding 1st through 3rd, in the same way earning those petz bonus points. TWIST #1 Do 8 Auto Rolling Balls, & 1 Car. Car is worth 5 points, everything else is the same. If pet catches car and brings back, it get's 5 points. TWIST #2 If you have a different color car (I have a red car & blue car), you could set out both and have the other car be worth another set of points like 3. Of course you would then only use 7 Auto Rolling Balls. TWIST #3 If you have different types of Auto Rolling Balls, you can make each on worth a different number of points. Please only go up to 5 points though. Again there are Several Twists you can put on this game, feel free to come up with your own, then let us know!

#3: The Car Game
This game is played exactly like the Auto Rolling Ball game, only with the cars instead. It's pretty much just another twist, but I wanted to have it as a seperate contest. Each car is worth 2 points.
You can then add in an Auto Rolling ball, or a different color car for the 5 points if wanted. You'd still keep the same number of cars.
The number is set at 9 because that is how many fit in the carry case.

#4: Fly Ball ! This is a fun one, and quite realistic in a way! First of all, you can either make your own scene for this or try to save this one I made to your computer: For petz 3, I set it up as my desktop and go there to play it. In Petz 4 I think your able to make it an actual scene. If you do this, I recommend not putting the horizon thing on there so it will be like a play pen or desktop and your petz can run all over the screen from top to bottom. Now, to play this game you can use any ball. You see the starting line? Then theirs the black lines in the grey for the Jumps (when dogs run across them they actually really look like they are jumping! Now you see the box at the end with the circle in the middle? This is where you place the ball. That is supposed to be the flyball box that launches the ball. When dogs jump to get the ball it really looks like they are hitting the box to launch the ball . Cool huh? Alright, now the way to play the game. Dog has 3 min. to Fetch 5 balls. Each ball returned is 2 points. If dog goes out of bounds (feet leave black thick lines) 2 points are deducted. If dog goes around 'jumps' 1 point is deducted. So dog must start at starting line, go over jumps, get ball and return over jumps. The return is the hardest part to get them to stay inside of the jumps. It helps to call them. The going out of bounds is including the going around jumps. So you wouldn't -4 pts and -3 pts, you'd just minus the 4 pts. If the dog stays in bounds but goes around the jumps, that's when you'd minus 1 pt. What I do, is show dog the ball, set ball on circle, then pick up dog and set him on the starting line. (if your game does what mine does and drops dog further down, you need to find the spot you can drop them and for them to land in the right spot). Do should remember the ball, if not you can pick ball up again then set it down. Dog should then chase ball. If dog refuses to fetch ball you can keep trying, they have 3 min. so if it just isn't happening then they just don't get any points. Each dog should win points, but again we will do the bonus points with the 1st 2nd and 3rd, just like we did above. TWIST 1: Another way we can play, is to have teams. Each team would consist of 4 dogs. Each dog will get 1 min. to fetch as many balls as they can (doing the same as above of course). So in total they get 4 min. , 1 min. each. At the end, you total up all the points for that team. Then the teams get the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placements. If wanted, each dog can get the points they themselves got. Teams can consist of any 4 dogs, weather all of them belong to you, or you can team up with other members.

#5: The Races!
There's 1 way I can think of to play this as a contest, and about 3 we can do for the shows. I'm writing out the contest way.
With petza, this is so much easier! Take all petz out, try to get them at one side of the screen, and call them to the other. Take a screen shot (should be a button on your keyboard that says PrtSc) You can pull it up in paint by pasting it. (you don't have to do it this way, but this should help keep it accurate). Note down the 1st 3 dogs in the lead from 1st - 3rd. Do this 5 times. Now you take all 5 winners that placed 1st, and race them once. Do the same thing and place them from 1st - 3rd.
Dogs that placed 1st - 3rd in the first 5 rounds, get 1 point each. Dogs that placed 1st - 3rd in the last round, get:
1st: 3 Points 2nd: 2 Points 3rd: 1 Point
So if your dog placed 1st in one or more of the first 5 rounds, lets say you placed twice, then 2nd in the last round, you'd then have 4 points total for that dog.
If you guys have other ways of doing this one, post them in a reply!

#6: Obedience There are a few different ways to do this one as well, here's my way. Feel free to add your own ways as well! Here are the tasks: 1. Sit 2. Down 3. Stack 4. Heel 5. Recall Instead of sending pics for this, we will actually need to get the dog to perform these tasks. Each task is worth 3 points. So in Total your petz can earn up to 15 points. For each task, the dog will get 3 try's to perform that task. For each time the dog doesn't perform the task, 1 point is deducted. If dog doesn't do it at all, you simply move on to the next task. I recommend noting down how many points the dog gets for each task. *Sit: Use treat dog is trained to sit with, cue it to down. If dog refuses, try again. Repeat. If dog complys, note down how many try's / points dog got and move on. *Down: Use treat dog is trained to down with, cue it to down. Same as sit. *For the Stacking, you will line up the dog, then press the spacebar 3 times in a row. Wait a second, then repeat. Do this one more time. If dog stacks itself in that time, then it will get the amount of points it deserves. So if it Stacks on the 3rd time of 3 hits, it will get 1 point. *For the heeling, you will simply call the dog right infront of the dog, then move your hand forward. If dog follows calmly, no lagging or running ahead, then dog get's 3 points. If dog doesn't follow, then try again. Remember 1 point is deducted for each failed attempt. *The Recall: Make sure there is some distance between dog and curser, then call the dog. If dog doesn't come, try again. Up to 3, same as everything else. At the end, total up all of dog's points. If more than one dog, place top 3 dogs that scored the highest for 1st - 3rd for bonus points . Get to training them dogs! When sending in your dogs for this contest, I recommend noting down in the profile of the pet, or in the email how to get the dog to do each task. What type of treat to use, where to cue it (up, down, right, or left), or where to have your curser when stacking and such. Any extra notes you can give will help your dog in getting the highest score possible.

#5: The Races I have this scene for The Races you can use. Put the petz behind the start line, and use your cursor to call them to the finish without them crossing into the lime green out of bounds area. If they run away before the race starts just replace them behind the start line.

# 7: Dancing contest Who's the best Dancer? Just came up with this one, but it would have to do with bringing all the petz into the Dance room, in my case that would be the family room or playpen. Turning on the music, We'd go through each song, and note down how many times each dog danced. Once the music starts repeating itself, the contest is over. We'd also note down dogs with the best moves, and if anybody decided to sing along! So we'd do 1st through 3rd for who danced the most, then there would be BM ( Best Moves ), and BS (Best Singer) as an extra pointers. 1st: 5 Points 2nd: 4 Points 3rd: 3 Points BM: 3 Extra points! BS: 3 Extra Points! BM & BS can go to a dog that placed 1st through 3rd, or to a dog that didn't place at all! Sound like fun?!? I think so! Any questions? PM me or ask in the questions board, and I'll add more to it if I need to .

#8: The Clothes Game Just came up with this one today, it might take a few trials to get everything right but this is what I came up with so far and how I'll do the first contest I do of it. Pile out all the clothes on the floor, along with 2 auto rolling balls. Bring out the petz. The petz will have 1-2 min. to put on as many clothes as they can. Once the min. is up, I will go to a new scene so they can't put anymore on. Each pet will then get it's picture taken Seperately. I will have 3 rounds of this. Petz earn points for each piece of clothing: Head piece: 2 points Shirt: 2 points Shorts / pants: 2 points Socks: 1 point each Full Matching Costume: 5 points Costume pieces: 3 points Accessories (Pirate patch, sheriff badge...etc...): 3 points So points will be tallied each round. At the end of Round 3, petz with the top 3 scores will place 1st through 3rd. I will then look at the pics from each round and pick which ones I think dressed themselves the best / best clothes combo's. 1 pet will be awarded best dressed from each round. Pets earning this will get an extra 3 points . 1st: 5 points 2nd: 3 points 3rd: 1 point Best Dressed: 3 points Questions? Please ask!
