FINALLY GUYS!
Day 2 ~ More Frisbee
Once again, sure your pup is propperly nureshed before playtime! Alright, today we have two different things set up for the more skilled at frisbee, and the ones who can't seem to get it/arn't very good. You get to decide which one your dog is going to do, you know your dog better than I do
The harder stuff:
So, this us for the dogs who caught on easily, or are just plain good at frisbee. Today we're going to introduce our dogs to the other frisbee, the one we didn't use. Again, let them check it out for a bit and such, note their reaction, and give it a good toss! They should easily catch on that this is just another frisbee, and you want the same thing from them
Once they get the hang of catch this frisbee, try attempting a disc switch! Once they have caught the current disc you are using, give the other frisbee a toss. See if your dog will jump and catch the other frisbee, letting go of the first! Keep trying this, it can take some time to learn, as it can be quite hard!
Once you are done practicing, take your dog inside for some water, naps, and maybe introduce him/her to a new toy!
Back to basics:
This is for the dogs having trouble catching on, or are trying, but just can't seem to catch that frisbee! Today we're gonna have some fun, and maybe get more used to frisbee as well! Use the same frisbee you used for Day 1, and bring out another dog that gets along with the one you are using in the class If possible, one thats good at frisbee too, but if thats not possible, its fine
Once you have the two dogs out, give the frisbee a good toss, watch to see whether the dogs want to play with the frisbee, or are concentrating more on each other/other things. Try and get them to focus on the frisbee when possible, and if they just wanna play, put the frisbee down for a bit and then come back to it, they might be more willing later Today is more about fun, since your dog may not be meant for frisbee...so why not have fun?
Make sure afterwards you let both dogs rest and give them water!
I hope you guys are enjoying this as much as me, its really fun to type these up too, and fun coming up with ideas I'm going to start writing more days right now so I'll be posting every day, at least for a little while
