Dun duh duh... #4 Wowsers This discussion is pretty much a free for all lol. But first of all... Again, thanks to everyone who is participating! We got a bit more participation in the last week, hopefully we'll see even more this week. What is the best way to announce who is up to do the playgroups and contests in order for people to see it's their turn? Should we keep the shows area up? Not many seem to enter them. Maybe we should just band together and enter the shows at RKC, Legend Inkorporated, Twilite Ink, and any others you guys know of. Any thoughts? Breeding Area is UP! Go check it out and apply Anything else you guys want to talk about??? Please Jump in! Thanks

Okay, I will keep them. I like having them seperate because they are completely different, but if we have more peeps who vote for them to be in the same board, I will move them .

I think the shows are only good if people enter. I think if we dont' see entries within the next week, we should re-think shows.

Actually... I'm starting to think that the contest I have created is really a Show & would like to host 3 different versions of my Pie Eating Contest 7 &/or Show. This morning I took Ken to a mommy & me music class and realized just how much he has changed in this past month. Some verbal communication has increased as well as his ability to do things. Like opening the refrigerator... which leads me to the importance of baby-proofing everything when you first purchase the useful locks & tools.
But, something else struck me as important to remember-- Thanksgiving Day is this Thursday. Which for my family entails: dealing with & visiting my grandfather with Alzheimer's, getting the house cleaned up without the help of my hired cleanfreak, looking into what toys of Ken's could be given a good home & /or traded out with stuff in our storage rental.
Duke Group members in the USA may not be able to access the computer much this week. Of course, there are people like me who just ignore the housework, dirty laundry & dishes to stick around & have fun. I have been using the nonPetz-enabled computer much more than usual. Thankfully my younger brother got a laptop for his birthday & I only have to compete with my husband's WoW addiction in order to use that one. He has a laptop (given to me for x-mas last year) for the usual internet activities & his other fancy games... Thank the gods for DSL! We have enough traffic over our internet that we could have our own netcafe!
Edit: I was going to finish up the beta testing of rules & methods to enter & compete in the Dainty Eaters Contest during Ken's nap following our Mommy & Me Music fun class. He was the usual darling & we bought his auto-rolling ferret ball. (I may just make a weasel/ferret ball for the Petz game soon.) Lots of the parents enjoyed his "pet" as did their young kids. He fell asleep in the car & when we got home he woke right up... *ratfinks!* >~: He didn't want to sleep until after I discovered a very old bottle in the bottom of his big solid plastic toy bucket, Unfortunately, my hired cleanfreak never noticed the odd smell coming from it before she went to visit family. As I type, there are toys in the tub soaking to help remove the soymilk that has converted itself to a yogurt. Some retired Beanie Babies were in it as well as a foam ball that we would toss all over the house as extra etertainmet when watching TV. A McDonald's freebie beanie microzebra & a gray cat with half an id tag left (My mother gives him her old Beanie Babies with the tags still on... ) are the only casualties. But, I am not really in a good mood & may have to put off the contest & shows until November the 26th. I hope this reaches people now before they are disappointed.
My Petz 5 game is crashing most times I keep it open for a long period of activity (30-40 mins). I have found my Catz 3 disk but of course it keeps crashing on this overly souped up computer. So, I can't even host until I research what might be causing this other than the times my son has pushed the off button while I was playing. I do not like having forgetful petz.
Although, I didn't mind it when Sheila came out in a better mood after the last crash. She has changed rooms as she made certain to let me know she was getting too old to stay in the Eeyore's nursery by Daniela (sp?) which is available at Minibyte's Petz Archive. As are the Areas I will use for Clive & Sheila's new rooms...
I'm still thinking about whether to make Clive a showdog, a breeder or only showing him as a puppy. I know I have done very poorly in understanding & training a showdog prior to Sheila & have never felt this interested in any adoption I have made prior to Stella & Holly's illicit love child, a2! Thank you again Sendy for offering him to me. I eagerly await his file & will use SD's in any show names. I've hust gotten the little boy out of his first shower & plan on taking lots of pictures for family w/ family!

I sent him to you so you might want to check your e-mail. Happy Thanksgiving even though I'm in Canada and Thanksgiving was a while ago.

Ah yes, this will be a busy week due to Thanksgiving. I think for this week I will understand non-participating due to being busy and won't give out warnings for this week. Karma's on the other hand will still be givin out . Thanks for letting us know Sirah .

I think that the 2 weeks of show participation should start the week after Thanksgiving. I know that I'll be making at least 2 turkeys and double everything else, as I'm having a HUGE party, and most likely won't be able to enter shows that week.
