If it's alright with you guys I'm not going to participate in adopting any more petz because if I do that it'll de-motivate me more Is PSC still active at all? I left due to inactivity, don't want to have to do it again :/ Would there be any interest in a conformation type show here? I used to do them on LI and I enjoyed doing them, but they need a lot of entries to be worth it (as they're separated into "breeds").

I'll do it. Unless skissors wants to do it, it was her idea. I'm going to open some contests now. Feel free to go ahead and set up the thread! I don't know how much time I'll have with school starting up again, and I'd really like to see the idea happen even if I don't have time to lead it. As for petz trophies/achievements... I don't know, they seem a little goofy to me. Although I guess I never was super interested in achievements in actual games, either. Maybe if there were prizes for them? Like, if you get a certain number of achievements and email the "proof" to someone, then you could get a special toy or hat or something. And the more achievements you got, the cooler the prizes. Also, it would be cool if someone made graphic for each achievement... like a badge or trophy or something, but unqiue to each achievement. That way, you could save them and put them on your website, and show off how many you've gotten. And maybe you'd have to email someone to get the graphic while showing proof of how you'd accomplished the task, and then it could be personalized with your name so no one else could take them.... hm, now this has me thinking...

I'll start a thread tomorrow when I'm on the computer rather than my phone and I like the graphics idea. Sent from my C5155 using proboards

Yes, definitely!
That's A-Okay Max, we understand! PSC is probably not active, but Duke's Group members have always been the one to make it active or non-active, so we could always bring it back to life.
As for a conformation show here, I'm not sure how much interest there'd be since we're not really a 'serious' showing community kind of thing.
These achievements wouldn't be a requirement, so it'd just be a fun thing to do on the side if you're bored or if you want to do it.
I was thinking about prizes for every so many achievements or something. Small graphics would be great, but I don't have time to make them, so somebody else would need to be in charge of that.
Thank you everyone for your opinions on it! Would love to hear a few more.

I'd like to take charge of the achievement idea, but if I did, I would probably separate it more from Duke's Group, and make it its own website or something, so it could be more accessible to everybody who plays petz. It would also be at least a month if not longer before I will have time to do anything with it. However, the more I mull it over, the more fun the idea seems.

I'd really like to keep it as a Duke's Group Thing.

I'd really like to keep it as a Duke's Group Thing. Ok, I probably could have phrased my response better :/ Let me explain what I'm thinking of doing fully, and then if you're still not a fan, then I'll let it go. So, first off, saying I'd like to separate it from Duke's Group sounds kinda misleading. I don't want to completely remove anything DG related from it. Mostly, I just meant hosting the achievements somewhere other than the forum itself, to allow for better formatting and organization (separate pages for each type of achievement, automated forums to submit requests for getting achievements and suggesting new ones, that sort of thing). And, since you mentioned having achievements for other forums, I thought it would be fun to open up the achievement system to people who aren't members of DG. Many of the achievements would be DG-related, and the entire site could be used to help encourage people to check out DG, because if they want to collect all of the achievements, they'll have to become an active member here. So that's basically my idea. I think it's something that would be neat for the petz community as a whole to have, and I can personally see myself having a lot of fun running it. However, if you disagree, then I respect the fact that it was your idea, and let it stay a Duke's Group exclusive thing (unless nobody steps up and runs the DG only version, then I'd really like to go ahead and try my idea).

Okay, you talked me into it When you put it that way, it sounds like a wonderful idea. Have at it! Thank you

Another idea...
Would anybody want to do a Just for fun, petzy, joint kennel type thing?
We could pick a breed, then everyone who wants to participate could adopt a pair. Then when they get old enough, we'd breed them and then swap puppies. We could get two puppies, from two different people so they aren't related. Raise them up and repeat.
Once we get to a point where they're going to start inbreeding, we can adopt another set of pairs.
Would anybody be interested in this? Obviously it'd be more fun with more people. It'd be cool to make an 8th generation line.
Again, just for fun. No showing or anything required.
