I played with her a little yesterday, but due to some issue, she didn't age properly. She's still age 18. Maybe it's an issue with Windows 7? I was playing with Vista when I was last super active here. I moved the program to My Documents and that seemed to solve an issue with the game not loading but... Anyway.
Leona of AngryKitten - Age 18
She looks like she feels fat and happy after her meal! Still, I wanted to spend some time with her and I remembered really enjoying playing dress up. I thought we should start simple though. After all, I hadn't downloaded all of the missing petz clothes that I'd lost. Perhaps we could try a few accessories?
We tried just a few things. The grey framed glasses looked OK and the hat was cute, but I ultimately decided that the red framed glasses were my favorite. I thought we could try more clothes later, but I at least wanted to spend some time with her before bed.
Next, because I so rarely got petz to drink water, I tried to encourage her to have a few sips! Sadly, I was wasting my time. Instead of drinking any water, she ended up trying to play with the bowl instead!
But, of course, before I knew it she was ready for some sleep. I guess it was a sign I was staying up too late myself. Good night, Leona! I'll see you again very soon.
Thanks, Amy! I've put water bowls in every room and I'm hoping that makes a difference. Leona's still playing with them, but I'm hoping she tries to take a drink soon.
Jumping Through Hoops, Chasing Toys
Leona of Angry Kitten - Age 24
Hello again, Leona! I guess she's a little bit of a time traveller. Last time, she was age 18, and now she's age 24! I thought petz stopped at 21 at some point, but I guess some more issues were corrected when I moved the Petz 4 folder to My Documents. It happens.
Today, rather than explore or play a new game, I decided to see if I could get Leona to jump through hoops. At first, the hoop made her nervous, but with a "toy" in her mouth, she finally summoned up the courage to take that first leap. And then she lept again in the other direction, without the aid of the water bowl.
We practiced for a little while, but I could tell she preferred to play with toys. I introduced her to the red and yellow circus ball. She played with it right away, so I took it and moved us all to the Family room. Her favorite thing to do with it was pounce on it and hunt it down, but she did bring the ball back to me a few times to play fetch. She's just so sweet to me!
I did decide to call it a day once she started getting tired. I placed her on her pillow in front of the fire place and soon enough, she was kneading and yawning. What a derpy face! Sleep well, Leona!
Thank you, everyone! She really appreciates the attention.
Fun In The Sun
Leona of AngryKitten - Age 30
Hi Leona! We filled our bellies (well, hers with cat food, mine with coffee) and then headed for the beach.
Before I even had the time to blink, she was on top of the Frisbee and shell that were there in the sand. I tossed the Frisbee for her but she didn't pounce on it until it was stuck in the sand again. I'm glad to see she likes the toys here!
As she played, I heard a strange sound and then looked up to see a plane! I probably never noticed it before because I rarely come to the beach with my Petz and the sound is typically off. How neat!
A shell washed up on the shore and I picked it up for her to look at and play with. It didn't take her long at all to warm up to the thing. She enjoyed pouncing on it, but there wasn't a terrible lot to do with it. We chose to leave it at the beach when we packed up our beach things to go back home.
There, we practiced posing. I like the alignment of her front legs in all three, but her face and back look the best in the first pose. Her face doesn't look quite straight because of her nose and ears, but I think the shape of this file changes as the kitten grows into a cat. Her face looks best to me in the last photo, but for some reason her cheek looks huge. Her head also looks like its sitting on her neck better in the first photo. It's been a while since I last showed in Petz, though. Any critique is welcome.
Once all was said and done, it was time for her to go to sleep, in her favorite spot of the Family Room. Good night, Leona! See you again real soon.
I'm excited, too! Due to her white pattern, it turns out she's P-reg, so my Conformation plans are out the window. She'll still be showing in the PKC Companion ring after her registration goes through.
Leona, The Wild West Kitty
Leona of AngryKitten - Age 36
Hi Leona! Ready for today's adventure? Once she was fed, I let her roam around the kitchen as I thought about what we should do today. I took then took her to the Clothes Closet and looked through the list of locations.
Of course! We haven't been to the Wild West, and I wasn't in the mood to take her to another beach, visit a cold, snowy place or go to the circus. Of the two deserts, I chose the one that was much closer to home. (Air fare these days. Yeesh.) Once she was dressed for the part, I guess she figured out where we were going and scooped up her water bowl. She must've known we were going someplace very dry.
Of course, she really didn't have to worry about that.
What she ended up having to worry about was making friends and, sadly, she and ChiChi, the dog in the Wild West scene didn't leave much of a good impression on her. The two would lock eyes, hiss and growl, and they took turns chasing each other away. It was really tragic to me that she had a bad experience with the first pet she ever met. Maybe things would be better next time we met a scene host? Maybe it'd be better if the host was a cat?
Finally, we practiced for companion shows. Rather than focus strictly on her form, I decided this would be a good opportunity for me to re-learn the timing needed to capture photos for companion shows. I picked her best stack for the day (admittedly not great, given she's exhaled here) and then focused on the walk.
As usual, she got tired and it was time to call it quits. This time, because I hadn't yet figured out what her favorite bed was, I laid out all the pillows, rugs and beds on the toy closet floor and let her choose. This time, when I placed the bed down in front of the fire place for her, I didn't even need to set her on it. She just jumped right on and got ready to snooze. Good night, Leona!
Thor: I did a bit of a clean up in the Adoptions board. If your adoptions are old (6 months is like the rule) feel free to close the thread and take any extra petz elsewhere
