Hello! I'm LuckyPenny! I'm new here, and I'm super excited to introduce you to some new friends!
About three days ago from the time I made this post, I decided to join Duke's Group. I had tried my hand at naturally raising before and decided I liked it. I joined DG because I wanted to be able to get even more out of naturally raising my pupz, like contests, challenge ideas, and playdates! That meant it was time for me to get a new pup (or two!) to raise and introduce to you.
First, let's meet the parents. The mom is Hera, a beautiful orange and dusty fuzzy tam bred by Lunacy. I love her fur color and texture, as well as her lovely gray eyes and dipped toes! She's a perfect mate for Triple, an elegant red, spotty boy with cute little scottie ears from me. I'm in love with his bobtail and little socks! I'm sure these two will make pretty pupz.
Here they are meeting for the first time. Triple looks ready to play, but Hera is a little unsure...
But after a few spritzes of love potion, the mood shifts from playful to romantic. A few kisses, a sweet nap together... and then that long-awaited heart!
This all happened a few days ago. I decided to wait for a little bit to see if this couple gave me pretty pupz or genetic disasters. There were a few other pairings in the running, but these guys gave me the gift of two of the loveliest pupz I've ever seen!
I'd like you all to meet Flicker and Ember.
They're almost identical, except for their sock colors and genders! The one with red feet is Ember, and Flicker is his orange-footed sister. They both have smooth black fur, beautiful light gray eyes, white chests, face streaks, and paws, dad's bob tail and ears, and mom's butt patch!
Mom is very tired and sleepy, so I thought I'd reward her for her hard work with some chicken treats! They did a good job at getting her back to a normal weight, too!
The pupz got some food too, in the form of rich, creamy milk. They seem to like it-- hey, Hera! That's not for you!
Now that everyone's all fed, it's time for these brand new babies to get some rest. The magic box helps put them to sleep...
... and it looks like it worked on mom as well!
That's all for today. I can't wait to watch these special little puppiez grow up and get to know them! I'm looking forward to all the fun we're going to have in Duke's Group!

Thanks so much for all the sweet words, guys!
Nothing super exciting to report here. Flicker and Ember are still small, blind, and helpless as can be.
One interesting thing, though: mom seems to really have developed a taste for milk. Maybe it's the leftover pregnancy hormones? Whatever the reason, I let her have some after I was done feeding her babies. She earned it.

Daww <3 I love the little newborn puppy pics! I also love seeing petz drink from the bottle, it's always adorable! Looks like we'll have to get some p5 groups going too That would be awesome!!! I'd love to get involved in some play groups
And speaking of play, these guys are finally old enough to do more than sleep. Their eyes are open, and they're ready to explore! I'm also slowly starting to learn their personalities. Flicker seems a little silly and floppy, while Ember is energetic and loooves to run around. I feel like I'm getting to know them!
They really are growing up. I tried to feed them milk, but they weren't having it. Mom was still into it, though!
It turns out these little guys are old enough to eat kibble! They gobbled it up... after they learned that two bowls out means they can eat at the same time instead of one eating and one begging.
And once they were all fed, they could run and play to their hearts' content... under mom's watchful eye, of course!
I think they'll be old enough to leave the nursery tomorrow. I can't wait to show them the rest of their virtual world!
