Its summer: school's out! The days are nice! Let's get some fun, friendly competitions going here at Duke's Group! The first ever(?) Summer Olympics is about doing fun challenges and getting points. The team with the most points wins. But prizes (bragging rights?) will also be awarded to the Kennel/Cattery with the most points as well as the pet that wracked up the most points during this event.
Dates: June 3 to Sept 23

Registration is open until the end of the event. Drop in and out at any time! Reply to this thread with the following information:

Current Teams:
When picking a team, you are not allowed to choose a team that has more members than the others. The goal is to have even teams.

-- Team August (6 members)
How Do I Get Points?
There are several ways to get points. I tried to include all sorts of aspects of Petz community fun! If you have any ideas, post below! I've also written it in a way that you guys all help out and I get to participate too :)
Shows/Contests (pts vary): Use the prefix (SumOly) in front of any show/contest title posted on the Shows & Contests board to make it count towards the Summer Olympics! Please specify if your show is for Catz, Dogz, Wildz, or Any.
+ 1 pt for hosting a show/contest
+ 2 pts for judging the show/contest
+ 2 pts for making graphic awards for winners of your show/contest
Example placings: BIS (5 pts), 1st (4 pts), 2nd (3 pts), 3rd (2 pts), HM (1 pt)
To Judges: When you judge a show, reply here with all the usernames and the points they won.
Team Spirit (winner determined by poll vote): In the Challenges board, create a thread to represent your team. You all decide who posts the first post, but you guys can all work together. Graphics, images of petz on teams, etc. you get creative with how you want to keep this updated! Decide on a team color: petz should try as often as possible to wear team colors. Posts made with font colors in team color will count double! (I'm not sure how I'd count this)
Update Home Kennels/Catteries (1 pt per day): For each day you update your home Kennel/Cattery board, you will win your team a point! Updates should include petz, a couple images, and some text. Perhaps if this is popular, we can host a poll for favorite Kennel/Cattery updates at the end of the event! If you need a home board, ask one of the admin (Amy, Vanilla, Meomi, Dew, Buck).
Adoptions (1 pt per adopted pet): Have a pet that is doing really well during the competitions? Perhaps you have some show champions? Or maybe you want to practice your hexing skills? Breed a litter/open a hexing service and post it in the Adoption Center board and you can get 1 point per pet that is adopted from that thread. Be sure to use the prefix (SumOly) before any adoption titles.
Playdates (varies):
+ 2 pts for hosting and running the playdate
+ 3 pts for photo updates and/or streaming of the event
Perhaps if this is popular, we can host a poll for favorite Playdate of the Summer Olympics at the end of this event!
Posts (1 pt per post): In the registration, you wrote down your current post number. This will be used to calculate the number of posts you make during the event. Yes, this means updating your Kennel/Cattery will count even more! Also, replying to other people's Kennel/Cattery posts is encouraged. Please follow DG Rules for posting.
Graphics (1 pt per graphic): This includes stamps, signatures, and avatars relating to the event. Especially stamps though! Any other Petzy type graphics are welcome as well. Show off your graphics in your Kennel/Catteries or in your Team thread!
Extras (1 pt per item): You can earn points for new clothing items, toyz, playscenes, etc. For now, there doesn't seem to be a specific board for these items so you are welcome to create one wherever to use for these purposes.

Any time you complete any of the activities that give you points, reply to this post with the link to the activity and how many points you and your team got. The only exception is for winning shows/contests. Judges need to report how many points the winners of their show received.
You can edit your posts to keep adding points as long as its before when I post telling everyone I've updated the scoreboard. As always verify where you can so I don't make any mistakes.
What Do I Get for Winning?

1st place - 1 Custom hex(my current files/PKC/POSSIBLY hexing new files) and/or color hex per member
2nd place - 1 Custom color hex(PKC or otherwise) and/or bred pet per member
3rd place - 1 Custom simple(1 sprite) toy and/or playpen background per member

I have actually done custom music before but I have never had any issues with it. You could try renaming it as one of the original songs and remove the original song from the songz folder.
