I have been naturally raising a bunch of petz rather haphazardly over the past couple of months. It has gone very slowly because I haven't been able to open petz every single day. But when I do I play with each pet in the group of course. I have decided to start more sanely here on Duke's Group by only starting out with one pet. I may add in others from that group or my crew at large over time, but I want to make sure I have time to do it right by this group's rules and standars. So that's why I am starting with just one.
If you would like to read the long rambles and adventures of that group though, you can read the thread I posted about them on RKC: petzforum.proboards.com/thread/66841/black-mist-newbies
But now get ready to be introduced to the very first pet I will start my Duke's Group adventures with!
Show Name: Medusa's Wish Upon a Star
Call Name: Wish
Gender: Female
Breed: Great Dane Mix
Birth Date: February 22, 2019
Adoption Date: December 29, 2019
Registration: None
Lineage: 440th gen, unhexed, tree-trimmed
Dam: D90 Sire: Harvey
Origin: Buck @ Medusa via PUGS Holiday Raffle
This is Wish, I won her from the PUGS Holiday Raffle. She is quite a silly puppy. I had her in the back yard trying to play fetch, but she kept getting distracted and then changing toys, she wanted to try them all out. She finally seemed to settle on the tennis ball for a few throws, but then she stopped bringing it back. She just stared at it, then barked at it and ran around near it acting like she expected the ball to play with her, as if it was alive, hehehe! I watched her do that for a long time over and over again, it was like she was stuck in a loop. She wouldn't give up on the idea that the tennis ball was going to play with her. So silly! Finally I got tired of waiting to see if she would stop doing it, so I grabbed the ball myself and that broke her loop, then we played fetch a bit until she got tired then went inside to sleep by the fire for a while.
Her name was World when I got her, which is a nice name, but while playing with her for the first time, the name Wish popped into my head, and I thought it was perfect for her. I don't know why, I just liked it. Then her show name seemed obvious from there, "Wish Upon a Star." It remains to be seen whether or not she will become a show dog, but I like to give all my petz show names when I can think of them.
Perhaps I named her wish because if I could wish for the perfect big footed Dane mixie, this would be it! I love black and dusty, I love white markings, I love Danes with sheepie feet and tails, and dali ears, I love pale blue eyes and wirehair (hair3 texture). She even has a hidden white nose patch. (which you can see in that corner picture where I painted her white markings pink to show it.)
I got so lucky to get her! When I saw her in the raffle I was immediately enamored with her, so I put a bunch of tickets on her. She was the only thing I won this year from the event, so she is very special.
Wish came to me as a puppy, so I did not need to age her down. The brain sliders have not been touched with her at all and will only be used to monitor her condition. The zip file she came to me in included that one picture of her as an adult, so I included it in her show off picture to show what a lovely lady she will grow into. But for now I am very much enjoying her as a puppy and will watch her grow up gradually.
Wish seems to be a very sweet and outgoing puppy so far. She gets along well with other petz I've introduced her to so far, catz as well as dogz. And she doesn't seem overly shy about new things. I look forward to getting to know her better and watching her grow up.
