Amy's Updates on Snickers & Toffee

I'd like to introduce everyone to two special new kittens that reside in p5!

First up is our new girl, Toffee, from ItsAtlas! < You should definitely click because there are two siblings still available!


She came running through the door, excited to explore her new home!


She picked up the sponge and brought it over to me so I gave her a sponge bath which she seemed to thoroughly enjoy!


She wasn't so sure about this Towel drying part though.


This part was much better!

She really loves holding the sponge and didn't want to put it down. I decided to try some bows on her. I picked out an orange one to match the colors in her pretty coat....


She was not impressed!


She was very happy with this cream bow though, that also matches the colors in her coat!

We headed off to the backyard for her to explore and learn about the toys out there...


She found the fish treatz so I put one out for her to eat. She preferred the box. She played with the other toys and seems to enjoy fetching, so I tested to see if she is a trickster.... she is not.

All of this exploring worked up quite the appetite!


I figured it was time to bring out my new kitten from Emmer, Snickers! ... Be sure to click on Emmer's name too as there is one sibling left and he's adorable too!

I wanted to make sure these two kittens got along before I got to know Snickers in p5. If they didn't get along, I would have Snickers return to p4 where I'd get to know him.







.... I still can't say how well they get along, there were a lot of tackling and wrestling together that's for sure! I don't see any absolute hate though, at least not yet, so I'm calling that a win.

Now it was time to get to know my boy...


First, I fixed his eyelids so they match his coat <3

Then we headed to the Salon...


He played with the sponge...


Said NO WAY to a bath!


Sharpened his claws on the carry case...


Then I gave him a sponge bath, towel dry, and a good brushing, all of which he seemed to enjoy!

Next was picking out something for him to wear.... This boy couldn't make up his mind on any of the clothes! First he loved it, then was like... nah I don't like it, then well.... maybe I do like it... nope, nevermind.... We finally settled on the hat.



After all of that, he was getting pretty sleepy...


So I took him to the desktop to eat (It's the only place in p5 where bowls don't bounce around)..


Then headed back to the family room and brought Toffee back out since she was looking pretty tired too when she was out.



Toffee chose the big, soft, pink pillow to sleep on by pouncing on it and falling asleep all on her own <3 Snickers of course tackled her, but she was too tired to care and went right back to sleep on it.

While I was typing this up, I caught them both laying slightly close together...

To remember their first day home, I put a picture of both of them in their own picture frames <3


Thank you both for these two! I'm really enjoying them and I hope they become great friends and possibly future mates <3

I brought Snickers and Toffee out today and poor Snickers was sick. So we headed to the desktop for some food and medicine.



They kept tackling each other and not letting the other fill their belly enough so I put Snickers away first.



Toffee got very sad <3 Apparently she does like him!



Toffee filled her belly, so I brought Snickers out and got him a new bowl of food with more medicine in case he didn't get enough.



He ate most of it, so we headed to the backyard and brought Toffee back out. They both took a particular interest in the soccar ball and took turns stalking and pouncing on it. Toffee decided to play 'drop objects from high places' while Snickers checked out the frisbee. Lots of wrestling took place as well.



I decided to take them to the beach to explore a new area and new toys / objects.

Toffee dazed at the sky while Snickers went pouncing on everything... including her.



After wrestling for a bit, they both started checking out the stuff laying around.



The ocean wave snuck up on poor Toffee and sent her running to hide by the carry case door. She didn't know what to think of that! It definitely scared her!



It left her feeling a little timid about the other objects too. It wasn't long before another wave crashed along the beach, this time scaring Snickers!



He ran up to hide by the carry case too, but turned around ready to fight what ever that was!



Before long he came back out to play but another wave got him and this time he hid behind the carry case. Toffee was too busy playing with a fish bone to notice the wave and wondered what Snickers was doing hiding.

I decided, maybe the beach wasn't the best place for catz... so we headed back home.



Snickers was happy to see his basket bed again.



Toffee was still wound up from the beach and ready to hunt something.... not sure what she was hunting.



Soon enough, they were back to wrestling.



Both happy to be back home <3

I love seeing these two! They both come from such great litters, so I'm very happy that they get along (at least no hate so far yay). It's going to be fun to see them grow!

I brought Snickers and Toffee out today and quickly realized they were not well! They had fleas all over them and were very sick! The poor things I sprayed them with the flea spray, gave them a good brushing, then we headed to the desktop to eat and take some medicine.



Snickers is constantly tackling Toffee when she tries to eat, so today I tried two things which worked really well with the added benefit of working on coming when called. When Snickers would tackle Toffee, I would call them. If they stopped wrestling and came to me, I'd reward them with a treat. I'd then call them back to the food bowl, and the one who started eating would get to eat while I put the other one in the basket so the other could eat in peace. Worked a charm!

After they eat, I realized they are both too skinny as well, probably why they were so sick today. Not enough treats! Even though I feel like I give them a lot! Since they aren't feeling super well, I decided today would be a good inside day and we'd play 'Treat Find'.

So I put them away and hid treats all over the house. Letting them search each scene for treats, but also having play time while we were there in hopes they also don't get too fat. It's a hard balance XD

We ended our Treat Find game there since they were both getting tired and need their rest. So we hung out in the sitting room together for a while. They both put on a little bit of weight but could still use a little more.

So these pictures are all from yesterday, I shared them all on the discord but figured I should post them here too. More of a photo dump than an actual update.





















I've learned so far that they are terrible mousers lol, the mouse aren't even afraid of them at this point. I hope they get better as they get older.



I also learned that Toffee loves to dance! Look at her go!



I also wanted to show off our picture frames <3 I keep adding frames and pics as they grow, so I try to add at least one new frame / picture every day, but there's usually more lol.

Adding these pics from yesterday before we start todays!


^Snickers actually sleeping all curled up in the basket bed! I didn't know petz could actually use it like that!







Toffee and Snickers have now joined my petz summer olympics team! So they are now sporting Moonstone colors <3

*******Today*********

Today I took time to clean up the playscenes, getting them to look nice and making sure fresh food and water were available in all of them. I then called Toffee & Snickers out to the backyard to play. They are age 27 today, almost young adults!







The backyard wasn't super eventful, the kittens played with some toys, ran some mice off (still have yet to catch one), and wrestled a lot! We were all a bit bored so we decided to head out and find something to do.





The local circus was in town so we went to it! The kittens had fun checking the place out. They could smell all of the new smells right away. Of course they wanted some snacks so I got them a thing of popcorn and cotton candy.



Soon they were back to....



Wrestling... so I found a hoop to see if they'd jump through it.





Turns out... they LOVE jumping through the hoop!

Soon it was time to head back home.





They were both looking a little dirty, so I figured it was time for another bath and such.











They seemed to enjoy getting all cleaned up and pampered on.

Both were looking pretty tired by now, so we headed to our sitting room where all of their pillows are so they could get some rest. They had a big day!

Oh my gosh I love their trading cards! And despite being Team Peridot, I must say the Moonstone spirit wear looks amazing on them!
