another challenge for those who love oshies so we have this feral kitten, handed over to me by amy... i do a general assessment - high neglect, no sickness... nothing a little love can't solve! i took this opportunity to snap pics and dress her up afterwards, i let her run around a bit on her own in my study - free reign of the place! she seems to really enjoy the jingly ball toy! it was at this point my scottish fold, bijou, came out to play! they get along swimmingly!

day 2! these two love to sing to each other โค tried getting them to behave long enough to attempt training, in case the routine would be a good idea for the kitten - there's safety in routine, or so they say! lots of wrestling... no dice - i guess neither of them is very trick-inclined! to make up for wasted time, i took some toys into the study and watched them play. ...with each other, rather than the toys... oh, but the mice came out, and look who caught one! i really hope their bond stays into adulthood...

it's day three! let's see how we're doing... uh.... well, i guess it's not that much worse... the vet told me she was at 60 neglect yesterday, so maybe i just need to play with her some! some brushing, and a picture of her really enjoying the yarn ball! trying hard to put the water bowl onto the chair in the toy closet, and failing... and it looks like someone likes the rolling ball! no name has stuck to her just yet - two of the ideas i had were 'syrup' and 'cheese', and my girlfriend jokingly suggested 'jerry' for her likeness to the fictional mouse... but we'll see!

day 4, and no changes... her coat is still as dull as ever, will she ever get back to her kittenish self, hidden away in her psyche? i'm going to try an experimental treatment (moving the entire game to My Documents) and check on her tomorrow. for now, i've decided to name her syrup! because she's very sweet (and friendly!) despite her abuse.

I love the name you chose, how fitting! <3 I also love when petz sing together so much, it's soooo cute. I really hope her neglect goes down some tomorrow, I will cross my fingers for you guys.

day five! still no change in neglect... i am increasingly worried something is wrong. she's at least aging like she should, but syrup's neglect score hasn't changed at all today... the vet advises me to keep trying, so i will! despite this, she seems to be doing alright... at least she's eating, too! i thought maybe it'd be nice to bring out someone new - one of my other petz! this is cog, bred by smonikkims! he is very handsome. the two of them seem to get along okay - nothing lovey-dovey, but they aren't enemies either. ...actually, i may be wrong... taking away all distractions, cog seems to hate syrup.... so away he goes! next we have... bean! this guy is another one from smonikkims. i believe i got him when sorting out their folders of petz to see which version and such each pet needed! they seem to get along... honestly very relieved! and happy to see bean getting some friend time. it's been a while! i think they really like each other! also bean sleeping is super funny .....oh OOPS
