Completing each of these challenges earns your kennel/cattery 1 point per challenge. Create a new thread in the Gameplay Challenges Board and be sure to include on which team you represent. Keep track of the challenges completed by posting one photo (as proof) per attempted challenge. As with all Petzy Gameplay Challenges, this is participation/ completion based. You aren't expected to do them all, so do as many as you'd like or you can. Challenges can be completed in any order-- I just put numbers there for organization reasons. These challenges can be completed only during the event (June 1st to Aug 31st) so be sure to post the completed challenge timestamp anytime before Sept 1st (forum time). Count up all your completed challenges and reply here with your final score! Team with the most points in wins! |

Gameplay:
1. Introduce your team! Write a post about your pet(z) that are going to participate.
2. Show your team spirit-- Dress your pet up in team colors.
3. Have fun at the beach!
4. Decorate your home to show your team spirit.
5. Invite other petz and host a playdate at your house.
6. Get the catnip out and see how your pet reacts to it.
7. Find your pet a friend (or maybe a rivalry).
8. Grow a garden with your pet helping (or hurting).
9. Make a photo of your pet for the photo frame.
Writing & Graphics:
10. Update your Petzy website or another equivalent that you use (e.g. a Showroom).
11. Make a new avatar & signature.
12. Make a new playscene or playpen wallpaper.
13. Make some new stamps, trading cards, or other collectible graphics.
14. Write a story about/with your pet.
15. Draw a relationship chart/diagram of all your petz and their relationships.
Training:
16. How many flyball jumps were completed in 1 minute.
17. How many frisbee catches were complete in 1 minute.
18. How many times can your pet fetch the ball and bring it back in 1 minute.
19. How many tricks does your pet knows.
20. Join a titled pose show (such as on forums or PKC).
21. Join a titled trial show (such as tricks, flying disk, or PKC trials/petz citizen).
22. Host a titled pose show on DG.
23. Host a titled trial show on DG.
Hexing & Breeding: Relate it to your Team in some way (if possible)
24. Pet (includes brexing and/or new breedfile/OW).
25. Texture.
26. Clothing.
27. Toyz.
28. Bred dogz or catz.

UPDATE: So it's not intimidating for newer registrations, I think these will count for the multiple months rather than just 1 month? (and I'll add some July and August specific ones to the list later)-- I think that will be easier than having to make a bunch of separate threads. Edit: Thoughts maybe just do gameplay for June and July so August can be just other things? FAQCan I complete more than one challenge with a post? Sure. I know sometimes you might want to show off a few different things you completed per post. Some people like keeping it as separate posts. It's up to you how you want to organize it! Can I do them out of order? Yup! You don't have to complete all of these either! How Should I organize it? I recommend creating your own thread on the Gameplay Challenges board and using the first post to keep track of how many you've completed so that I can quickly sweep through the boards and find out which teams are winning for each monthly little check-in! |

I think letting people complete all the summer challenges at their own pace sounds good, unless it might affect activity by giving people one less reason to post regularly. On the other hand, you might be right that it could be intimidating for newer people. I don't really know the PC well enough to say!
Personally, I've been enjoying trying to see how many challenges I can complete before June is over and a new month starts. It encourages me to keep posting and participating right now instead of leaving it for later. Maybe some of the challenges could be reused or be available as alternatives? For example, something like making new friends or rivals would work for new July arrivals (or people who don't finish it in time this month) and those of us who did that could repeat the challenge with different combinations of pets or something. Or people arriving later could have the option to choose between, say, June prompt #7 and July prompt #7.
Gameplay and training challenges are my favourites so I'd love to see them in the other months too! Of course, I completely understand if it ends up being hard to find enough new gameplay things to keep things interesting and balanced the whole time!

I agree with lobb. I like the idea of being able to go through these throughout the months. I don't think there will be a problem with keeping this through august and having other small events in the months? IDK. But I do have a question - do updates to websites, each trading card, ect. count for 1 point each time I do them? So if I update my site/showroom whatever day 1, day 4, day 5 then I get 3 points or just the 1? If I make 3 PTCs I get 3 or 1 points?

I love the competitive nature and the incentive it gives us to compete with our petz It's a bit too late for the June title contest, especially since I try and enter my team members in shows equally, so there isn't really a champion far ahead of any other pet on my team. |
