I'm still very confused by these two, who flirt by glaring angrily at each other.
It looks like she's swatting his tail ahahhaa.
I introduced them to this new kid today.
Glissando was NOT happy about the intruder. Or maybe she is? Hard to tell.
Meanwhile, between the WinOly and naturally raising I haven't been playing with Raffles all that much (even though I bring him out every day and he's always in my game) so I decided to introduce him to some of the babies. It was very cute. He and Roly get along especially well.
I took everyone to the back yard at one point. Raffles immediately fell asleep on the grass and Bunny followed suit.
So did Roly! Nettle wasn't very happy about this but then I discovered she likes to be watered with the can, which made her feel a little better.
I've been feeling kind of sad because real life stuff and in a sort of petz rut. I decided to keep only 3-4 pets in my game folder to make it less overwhelming for me. I was wrong.
This is a dog I've posted about in my show-off thread.
This is a cat I bred.
They were getting along well at first and I had high hopes for a calm, relaxing experience. Just watching cute animals playing with each other. No big fuss.
Except the cat decided to jump up on the toy closet couch. The dog was not amused. He also decided he hates Raffles.
I decided to smooth things over with some food, which went... well, you can see for yourself.
For a few seconds, I felt optimistic. That dog was approaching Raffles without looking angry! Amazing!
Unfortunately, when he decided to eat Raffles stole his bowl from under him and brought it to me. Er, thanks?
Meanwhile, the brown dog started chasing Raffles around (again) and Raffles started running away from him (again). Someone was also angry at the cat, who promtly got scared.
The cat decided to throw a tantrum. Same, kitty, same.
I ended up giving everyone a time out and bringing out Raffles and the cat together, since they both have drama going on with the brown dog. In all fairness, the brown dog was initially scaredy and docile, but has become kind of a bully... and all because of seeing the cat jump on the couch.
Things were going a bit more smoothly until Raffles decided to sing along to the music box. The cat decided to change the tune, which Raffles didn't appreciate. A chase ensued and RAFFLES SOMEHOW HEADBUTTED THIS CAT, WHO FELL BACKWARDS. I like to think it wasn't on purpose but wtf.
I've been bad at documenting playing petz, and even at playing petz, because I'm so busy and tired with real life stuff
This is Yogi, I got him from xoops 🐠. Isn't he adorable? He seems to be generally easy-going and to get attached to others easily.
This is Tiger! He's a P3 pet from a raccoon file... it took me a while to figure out how to convert him to p4 since the file is only for p3. He needs a better name. So far he seems very playful.
This is Blue from bex . It's true that he's very scaredy! Maybe that's why he's been a bit mean to some of the petz I've introduced him to. He does this very cute thing where he nudges the music box to get it to play.
Yogi and Tiger get along just fine, but Blue keeps trying to chase Tiger. They look so innocent in that picture but they'd JUST been arguing! (Yogi was busy falling asleep.)
I've introduced Blue to my other scaredy dog, Rory. They seem to get along well and Blue brings out a more playful, puppy-like side in Rory!
I also introduced him to Crisp, because she's friendly but generally brave and willing to try new things, so I thought she might help bring him out of his shell. Instead, they all fell asleep!
I have some other pictures of my new crew members playing but I can't post them since they contain spoilers for the egg hunt prizes
I was naturally raising him and a couple others so that's what I'm continuing to do now that I'm back.
I decided to do the Gundog challenges from Bex's site here, it just seems like a fitting activity to do with him! He's not fully grown yet so I'm doing the Puppy challenges. I did most of them today to celebrate being back and bond with him a little bit
1 Get to know your new pup, what are their favourite toys and food.
Thanks to Thor's handy program, I know his favourite food is beef. But what's his favourite toy?
I set out a bunch of toys for him to choose from.
He seemed to really like the robin plush. He even sat around with it in his mouth!
He wasn't so sure about the yellow frisbee.
Here, he's angry at the Dogz plush.
His ultimate favourite toy, however, seems to be the shoe. He ALWAYS plays with it.
And then he gets mad at me if I take it from him.
2 Teach your pup a basic recall by whistling the hand and then petting the dog when it runs to you.
I've been doing this with him since he was a baby, so he's gotten really good at it!
3 The Great outdoors, take your pup outside (not the backyard) try the beach, woods, moorland. Experience some different places together, play and explore.
I'm currently tidying up my custom playscenes so I decided to take him to the beach.
Sniffing the sand.
He wasn't very sure about the beach ball. He doesn't really seem to take to new things easily.
He was curious about the green frisbee, though, so I threw it for him. He did really well and kept bringing it to me so I could throw it again.
While I was saving a picture, he started digging to bury the stick! I was amazed because my dogz rarely do this so quickly.
Just then, though, Bleu got distracted. The hermit crab came out of its shell and Bleu obviously had to check if the shell is tasty or not.
4 Time to desensitise your dog, try introducing your pup to larger dogs, pups, other species. Try grooming, introducing to different toys and places around your home.
Bleu has gone on a few adventures so far! I've discovered he really likes singing and dancing to the music box.
And being petted, of course.
Meeting some friends! EDIT: I just realised I'd already posted this picture! My previous post has some of the earlier pictures of him meeting petz and playing with them.
Bleu doesn't seem to like most pets but he was getting along well with Rory... until they had a falling out. I don't know what happened.
He hasn't gotten the hang of the treat ball yet.
He's a bit scared of the feathery toy.
I don't know what to say about this picture.
Since he disapproves of most petz, I thought I'd introduce him to the mice. He was NOT happy that the mice kept trying to steal his treats.
5 Time for some basic puppy retrieve, choose a fun soft toy and begin by throwing for your dog to pick up, every time the pup brings the toy back to your hand give them a pet.
I trained this with him before, but I guess I didn't take pictures, so I did it again today and this time made sure to grab some photos.
He's just so cute.
He was getting sleepy so I placed him on the pillow... and he fell asleep with the toy <3
It's been a while! I have a thread on WW now that was supposed to be focused on specific pets, but I might start copying my updates from here so I'll always have an extra copy (just in case either site goes down).
Besides the petz I'm posting about on there, I'm currently raising these:
Alan from Emil. I really like his mane!
He enjoys dancing.
Don't let that first picture fool you! He's a happy pup, who can play fetch for ages before he gets tired.
A few days ago, I got this kitty from gyiyg's breeding leftovers. His name is Mail right now (I might change it) and I love his colours. Oddly, even though he's an Alley and gets mad at the camera, I've caught him posing a couple of times now. Maybe he'll be relatively easy to show when he's grown!
Also from gyiyg, these three cats! Paper (mottled with grey face), Pane (brown and white) and Page (the alley).
The first time I brought them out to play, Pane decided to take a nap almost immediately.
Here Page got mad at the camera, but she was lying down and staring at him. ;_;
Page loves the music box. Even though she doesn't seem like it, I get the impression that she's the "runt" of the litter. For example, when I set out some treats, she was always the last to eat.
Mail keeps riding the skateboard ALL THE TIME. I love this cat lol
Page decided to try it too. It did not go well. RIP Page.
I set out the treat ball for them. Page was really good at taking treats out but less good at getting to them before her siblings. The best one at eating treats is Pane. Small but mighty, at least when it comes to food!
