One of these days I'll get my own sub-board (can I move previous threads into it, if I do?) but for now, have another thread!
Klomonx got a glitch in the PUGS Claw Machine where it didn't preview the pet, but downloaded it anyway, and it turned out to be a cute Tabby - and then I got the glitch too, and downloaded it as well just for funsies. I figured I'd probably keep whatever popped out regardless, but luckily for me, it turned out to be a SUPER cute pet too!
Meet Soot! He's got a BWS personality, I believe, and it shows - he's a fussy, rowdy little man who likes to hunt and pounce on everything he can get his tiny paws on.
Don't let his worried little face fool you. That's just how he reacts to new items at first, shortly before turning his nose up at them and/or trying to bat them into oblivion.
I let him run around in the background while I was playing a game, figuring that would be the best way to get to know him. I didn't actually have any intention of naturally raising him at first--he's in Petz 4, where I usually just age everyone up--but then I figured: why not? So now he has a special PetzA folder of his own until he's grown and can join my main crew.
I thought I'd feed him first, and he liked the very first bowl I brought out...
... A lot. He was so floppy afterwards, poor baby.
We spent a while playing with toys and seeing what he liked, and I left a mug out for him to snack on while I played my game, but he was much more interested in carrying it around and throwing it off ledges. He REALLY likes throwing things off ledges.
He liked the mug so much he had to take it hunting with him.
He liked the cat dancer a lot! Mostly to throw it off of things though. He turned his nose up at it when I grabbed it by the base. He seems to do that with a lot of toys - he's fine playing roughly with them on his own, he'll sort of 'hunt' them and throw them, but if I pick one up to draw his attention to it he acts like it disgusts him.
He's not a trickster, so I wasn't expecting much when I held up the hoop for him for the first time - it had been lying around the room the entire time and he hadn't paid any attention to it, so I kind of expected him to either ignore it or bat it out of my hands. But...
Huh! First time! I tested him a few more times with it and he jumped through every time. So he may not be a trickster, but at least he's got potential for uh, hoop jumping shows! And pose shows. He poses REALLY easily for the camera, too - it's just a matter of getting him aligned right, which is difficult.
He's very proud of his collection.
More carrying things around...
Finally I decided it was time to say goodnight to him for the evening, and gave him a little strawberry as a reward for being so good. At first I thought he might not eat it; he hunted it and kicked it with his back legs and generally seemed very interested in murdering it.
He ate it in the end though. Good hunting, Soot!
