I think that you should keep him the way he is.

^Yeah, you're right. I'm going to leave him as-is. I love his lil fluke eyes. Anyway, today is Ginger's birthday! She's officially an adult! Day 14 Pippa and Abbot: 45 days old Ginger: 30 days old
So first things first, we got everybody in their party hats: And then headed to a birthday party in the playpen: After the party was over, we put everyone back in their usual garb. It's my birthday, Mom!Since it's springtime, I took Abbot and Ginger to the backyard to play while I planted some flowers: They both were good at catching the frisbee: As it turns out, Ginger hates the watering can: But Abbot still loves it: Please don't do that to me again, Mom. Turns out, she's afraid of a lot of things in the garden. Here she is cowering at seeds: Or I just scarred her for life, one or the other. We went back into the living room after that to warm up with a fire. It's still cold out in early April. Lovebirds in the making? One can hope. Abbot loves to stand up on the mantle and whine for...the spray bottle? He does seem to be barking less lately, but it may just be that his voice has dropped in his older age and his new bark annoys me less. *chomp* Sweet dreams, you two!

Day 16 Pippa and Abbot: 51 days old Pippa: 36 days old So I did play with the pups on Day 15, but I didn't take any pictures. I was trying not to disturb them, in the hopes there would be some ~romance~ but it's not going well in that department. Day 16 (spoiler alert) was also very platonic.
This was the most romantic gesture of the day:At least the flowers look beautiful in bloom. Then, after Ginger went back in the crate...It's fine you put my friend away. I have no feelings whatsoever on this development.Pippa came out:*sigh*Everyone at some point got fed. I also made sure to give Ginger some extra treats, since she was a little skinny after yesterday's time spent running around unsupervised:Tell me:Do you use love spray/perfume to encourage your petz to couple when you're naturally raising them?I was hoping I wouldn't have to because they're be so bonded after spending so much time together, but Abbot and Pippa still hate each other, and him and Ginger seem to just want to be good friends. I want to naturally raise some puppies, but it would feel like cheating to give 'em a spray.

No, I don't use the perfume that way.

Whoo-whee big update ahead! (Actually, it's a very small update, but big things happened.) Day 17 Pippa and Abbot: 54 days old Pippa: 39 days old So it's been several real-life days since I played with the pups. I brought them all out just to see where they were at, and immediately I started hearing those lovey-dovey low growling sounds that pups make when they're starting to fall in love (no perfume! no love spray!).
I thought it was between Ginger and Abbot, so I put Pippa away.
Side note: Everybody was sad to see her go:
Well, maybe Abbot's not sad per se, but at least he's showing recognition for his childhood playmate's disappearance.
Ginger was cute-sad, cause she's just a cutie.
Anyway!
I tried pairing Abbot + Ginger for a play session. Nothing. I tried pairing Abbot + Pippa for a play session. Nothing. I brought all three pups back out, and noticed Ginger and Pippa were doing that walking-in-circles, lovey-dovey staring at each other thing.
So I put Abbot away.
And the affection continued.
Did PF Magic build same-sex attraction into the game, or is this a side effect of playing with PetzA?
I decided to gender-swap Pippa just to see what would happen, and not even 2 minutes later...
AHHHHH
I'm so excited, and we're just going to go with it! We'll pretend these girlies have some sort of surrogate situation that allows them to have babies together.
I'm shocked, y'all. I didn't know it was possible for two female pups to fall in love, but here we have it. I can't wait to see their puppy in a couple of days!

Day 18 Pippa and Abbot: 57 days old Ginger: 42 days oldIt's a boring update today. Ginger's in her first trimester, so it was just a matter of caring for the pups' needs.
Oh! But first things first, I forgot to share that both Pippa and Ginger earned their Foundation Baby Citizen...weeks ago. Oops.
Starting at age 60 (aka tomorrow), I believe, Pippa and Abbot can go for their next ribbon.
Anywho.
Pippa must have a really fast metabolism, because she's always getting super skinny. I few her a bunch of treats to get her weight back up to 60ish.
Then it was playtime for the whole group:
Everyone was starving after that, but some were too tired to eat...
So we went to the family room for naps:
Then, because Ginger was full, I put her away and left Pippa and Abbot out to try to get them to eat. But they were too distracting by the ants in the kitchen...
*sigh*
That's all for today. I've very eager to bring another pup (a special purebred dali) into this thread. I've been waiting and waiting in the hopes that I'd have another dali bred of her generation bred and ready to join the thread at the same time, but maybe I'll skip that, and bring her in as a playmate for Ginger and Pippa's pup. Ahh, I can't decide. Maybe I'll raise another 3 pups together! Who knows?

Day 20 Pippa and Abbot: 63 days old Ginger: 48 days old
A puppy is born!Welcome baby boy, Riley! I did accidentally have Lida's pitbull OW in, from when I was breeding muttidanes (I swore I checked, but maybe I checked only for dali OWs). But I think this OW is actually cute on him. It's sort of hard to see, but it tooks like he has some brown freckles too on his chest patch and head patch.Look like he got Pippa's blue eyes, and Ginger's recessive sandy coat. Ooh, he's going to be such a unique pup! Here he is with mom.And here's a little family shot. Pips, why are you looking so over this?!I also let Abbot meet his "nephew":What is this thing?
It's terrifying.
Mom was severely underweight after giving birth, so some treats were had.And then I put mother + son away to try to feed the others:And it occurred to me. Since all of my pups seem to suddenly be falling in love with each other...?Nah, we're good. That was all from that day, but I'm behind on posting, so here's the next play day as well:Day 21 Pippa and Abbot: 66 days old ^ lol at the other two And I thought this was cute: Pippa standing protectively over her baby. (I don't know what the other two are doing.) Lots of growling from Ginger was had. She doesn't like it when either Abbot or Pippa (really? Other mom?) gets too close to her child. Any now that's really it for today! Will Riley be walking tomorrow? We'll see!

Day 23 Pippa and Abbot: 72 days old Ginger: 57 days old Cerys and Riley: 12 days oldIt's an exciting day!Riley's old enough to come out on his own, and he's every bit as cute as I thought he was going to be. Wow, that accidental OW really worked out!Do I sense the showring in his future? As you can see, he's still got quite a bit of his baby pudge. In fact, I checked his brain sliders, and his fatness is at 98 right now.The extra exciting news is that we have a new pup joining to be raised alongside him. Meet Cerys!(pronounced with a hard C; rhymes with "Paris")Cerys is a very special pup bred by gingerade. She's from her Chablis line of champion PN/NIB dalmatians over on RKC. Gin was seeking a stud to pair with her pup Morganna (SGCh Cargo/Gin'z Bewitching Glade of Chablis), and I offered up my pup Daniel (UGCh Sz's Pleasant with the Overwhelming Guilt), and voila — I got Cerys, and she got Alastor and Everald. I wanted to follow in the Chablis project's footsteps and naturally raise Cerys. I was kinda holding back to see if I could breed/acquire another Gen 10 dali to raise alongside her as a potential mate, but I quite simply don't have a match and am too eager to meet Cerys. So she'll be Riley's playmate! They met: And they wrestled and they wrestled and they wrestled some more! Then I took them to the playpen to introduce the older generation to the younger generation: Spot Pippa and Ginger, acting like they haven't seen each other in an eternity. Thank God it requires me gender-swapping one of them for them to get pregnant again, or else I think I'd have a mountain of puppies out of the two of them. Then I wanted to feed the older generation, since they were all getting a bit hungry: But Pippa and Ginger would not stop gazing at each other long enough to eat. I'm not kidding; I had to separate them. Abbot's like, I'm over being the third wheel.I put Pippa (and Abbot, who ate while those two were oogling each other) away, and Ginger was cross-eyed with sadness. But she did indeed eat. And then Pippa came out by herself and ate. Finally, we bottle-fed the babes! (ugh, my heart, my favorite interaction) I put Riley away before putting Cerys away, and this was her reaction: Off to a way better start than Pippa and Abbot! I think they're going to be best of friends!
