Welcome! Duke is THRILLED to see you! Please introduce yourself, then take a look around and get familiar with the forum and how everything works. This group was created in 2007 because I only had Duke as a pet and I wanted a place for others to naturally raise their petz and enjoy having other petz over for play groups and competing in shows or contests. This would allow for us to play with several petz while only having a few of our own. Naturally raising our petz with out using petza and actually enjoying the game again is the whole point of this group. When I had opened Duke's Group, I only thought it would be a temporary thing. I never expected it to still be open 16 years later! Duke's group has become a group of very special people who we all consider family. We've all become very close friends and it has a very different atmosphere than most petz forums today. We always love to see new faces and make new friends! This is not a super strict group, but a place where people who love playing with their petz can come and hang out while enjoying fun activities around the forum. Once you've familiarized yourself with things, message me (or any active moderator) and I'll open a kennel / cattery board for you where you can start an update thread and post any websites, or services you have. Then feel free to jump into the shows / contests, play groups, projects, or host some of your own. Welcome to the group! We're happy to have you here!

::Main Rules::
Please make sure to read these before posting here on Duke's Group. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. - First, go ahead and introduce yourself here. We'd love to meet you and feel free to show us your petz in your introduction thread too. - You are allowed as many petz as you want. Remember though, Duke's group is about naturally raising, caring for, and actually playing with your petz. It gets overwhelming if you have too many. You won't get in trouble if you use Petza, but.... that's not what this forum is about. - Playing with your petz is the key to this group! Have fun while you're at it! - Feel free to make up your own game time or use real time to age your petz. How you play is up to you. - You are encouraged to hold Playgroups and contests for others to enter when you can, if you'd like to hold one, simply go to the board (Contest board if you want to hold a contest and Playgroups board if you'd like to hold a playgroup) then start a new thread. Again we understand not everyone always has time to do these, but try to hold some when ever you can! - Signatures can't be over 600px wide, and not overly big. Aka- No page stretching. Keeping it around 260 tall is best, please don't go too far over that. If we see a signature that is too big we'll let you know. - Avatars can't be over 150px in width and 200px in height. - If you want your own Kennel or Cattery Boards, simply PM me or another admin and we'll get ya set up. - If you are under the age of 13, I'm really sorry as we can't allow you to join If it were up to me I have absolutely NO problem with it, BUT it's not up to me. It is US Law & Proboards Rule, not mine. So the answer is NO you may not join if you are under age of 13. - Rules for C-Box: * No fighting in the C-box. * No Swearing in the C-box. * No Arguing in the C-box. * If something happened in another part of the forum (fight, disagreement, argument...etc...) do NOT bring it up in the C-box! * Members who've been banned may NOT write in the C-box.

::How To Get the Most out of this Forum:: I created this forum back in 2007 to help people get back to playing the game as it was originally intended. Here are some tips to help you get the most out of your time here! Please note, these aren't requirements, just tips / suggestions to have more fun here at DG! 1. Pick one or two petz to participate with. Anymore than that, it can get overwhelming and you tend to not participate as much. 2. Hold playgroups, play dates, and open fun shows for others to participate in as often as you are able to / want to. 3. Send your petz into Playgroups, play dates, and enter them in shows as often as you can. If you are worried about someone stealing your pet, start with an original AC pet that isn't very unique in the first place. 4. Participate in our monthly projects, they are there to help you do more with your petz. 5. Take time to comment on other peoples posts. 6. Keep an eye on your messages for an invite link to join our Discord! We spend most of our time on the discord sharing pics and so much more, so it's definitely worth it to join! We try to make this place as fun as possible and keep each other's motivation going. We're a very supportive, family like group and always enjoy having new faces! Enjoy!

::Warning System:: We've rarely had to use this, but it has come up so here it is. 1. Copying / Stealing other's petz (this includes hexing petz to look exactly like the other pet) - 50% warning first offense, permanent ban 2nd offense. 2. Fighting / Arguing - 33% Warning 1st & 2nd offense, automatic ban 3rd offense. 3. Breaking C-box rules - 25% Warning 1st, 2nd, 3rd offense, automatic ban 4th offense. If you get a warning, you can lower it by earning new karma points. Each 'New' Karma point will lower your warning by 1% Please note, even if you get it down to 0% warning, you don't start over again on your offenses. So if you broke the c-box rule once, got it down to 0%, then broke it again, you'd get a 50% warning for your second offense. Ways to get Karma Points-*Hosting Contests & Judging them *Hosting playgroups *Holding & Judging Picture shows / contests *And random other things that I give points for (will be listed)
