Amy's Update Thread!

Just spent some one on one time with our new pup Shamsi. I wanted to see if he is going to be good at Flyball because I am hoping he can be apart of our Flyball team AND do Lure Coursing.

First we got him some food..


Then introduced the hoop...

Success!

Then the tennis ball...

Success!

And.... The Jump with the ball...

YAY!

He did great!

Since he'll be entering Lure Coursing Trials too, I figured I should introduce him to the Auto Rolling Ball too...


He wasn't sure about it at first... and it even scared him once...


He figured out what to do pretty quickly though He'll need some practice.

Some one on one time with Tucker today too.

Since I hope to compete with him in Frisbee as well as Flyball, I went and got a Frisbee from the store and took him out to the backyard to introduce him!

But first... Some food


He was unsure at first, but then started to get into playing with it;



Then... he caught it!


.... And... decided he preferred the stick XD



So we'll keep practicing and see how he does lol.

One on one time with Dakota.

I decided to try one last time to get Dakota to jump the hoop. She has refused every time I've tried before.

She surprised me, as soon as I picked up the hoop I looked down to take a bite of Pizza and looked back up, she was jumping through it! Of course I missed the picture XD

After that... it didn't look promising.


I decided I better feed her first and see if that helps.


It did.


She insisted I feed her more before jumping again.



*Pretends to be too tired*


"Oooh! Wafs vis?"


"Stop putting this thing in my face!"


"Fine! Last time!"

I feel it was a successful training session even if we did only get 3 jumps XD

Buttons turn for one on one time. I had planned to do more, but I couldn't get enough of her and took a ton of pics and I ran out of room in my petz pix folder. I figured 37 pics is good enough for an update XD

First... food.


I wanted to work with her on stuff too, and figured... why not try flyball with her?

She did way better than Dakota and I really think she'd be a good member to the team if catz were allowed...


Then we introduced her to the Auto Rolling ball...

She caught on quickly, but definitely prefers the Tennis Ball.

We finished up with some petting and resting on her bed.

Dakota absolutely LOVES to pose for the camera. So I definitely will be showing her in pose shows and companion shows at PKC. Shamsi also loves to pose and really loves playing with the stick. Tucker has a bit of jealousy in him when I pet another pet, and took it upon himself to bury the frisbee. Dakota and Buttons didn't seem to appreciate that XD Dakota and Tucker seem to be in love. Both are spayed / neutered for now though, so no puppies will be happening at least for a while lol.

They are so much fun to watch play together <3

And entered her for her GPC Test;

I also entered Jack for his GPC Test;

PASSED

And I entered Baby for her XPC Test the other day. Waiting for it to be judged;

PASSED

Going to try doing a little here and a little there to try an re-spark my PKC interest.

Awwww! I just got caught up with your updates :3 I really love Shamsi. He's adorable and I love his name <3 He's making me wanna do some breeding projects again xD Breeding with the surprise lab file is my new addiction haha!
Happy to see Tamra on PKC! Really makes me happy to see the pups on there.
I know how frustrating is it when dogz don't wanna jump the hoop!!
