Oct. 28th 07- First Day Home!
Sage is a cutie! She isn't shy of much, very out going girl. Walks right up to stuff and sniffs them. She's a bit clumsly lol and tends to run into things. She enjoys to carry the stick around with her.
Sage seems to really like the bone, and playing fetch with the stick. She also seems to enjoy nudging the water bowl with her nose, and batting the watering can with her paw.
Sage loves the water! I lifted the watering can over her and she started moving around like she liked it. Looks like she might be a digger too, she picked up the stick and went to dig a whole but something distracted her before she actually started.
After letting her explore the back yard for a while, I brought her into the kitchen to eat. Though at first she just sniffed it and started to carry the bowl around with her. I took it away from her, then sat it back down. She then began to eat.
Sage doesn't seem to tire as easily as the others, usually they need to rest by now, but since Sage is good to go for now, I've decided to do a quick training session with her after she ate. Mostly just to teach her how to think and try new things.
Boy was she hungry! She ate the whole bowl. Her training session went well! I used the steak treats and kept going around her letting her do a different thing each time. I let her choose what she wanted to be trained. She chose: Side pass left, Beg, Roll over right, and Roll onto back and wiggle. 4 new tricks!
Here's her Wiggle trick:
She's already asking for stuff like treats, and petting. I next took her to the clothes closet for a quick session on stacking. She did well, though I could only get a good dali pose out of her. We'll try again later when we have more time. I next took her to the family room to relax and explore the house.
She sniffed around for a moment and found the tug toy. We played a quick game of tug. I turned on the music, she didn't really react to it. She then fell asleep on the blue pillow.
