I call Sage and Tasha, the two sisters . They are not by blood, but they were hexed / adopted on the same day and are the same age. I was planning on getting these two for a while now and finally did it . I think they go very well with Dukie boy. ANY WAYS.... lol
Here's Tasha!!!
Oct. 28th 07- First Day Home!
I first brought Tasha into the Back yard to sniff around. She was unsure of Everything. She is a very shy girl... takes a min. to come out of her shell. She always seems to have a sad look on her face, even when she is happy.
^^^First sight at backyard^^^
She enjoys batting stuff around with her paw. I picked the watering can up and lifted it over her. Turns out she loves the water!
She absolutly Loves to be pet! She instantly melted to the ground and quickly fell asleep. She's such a cuddlly <SP?) Puppy.
When she woke up, I showed her the stick. Again, unsure at first, but after a second, she jumped on it and sniffed it to learn what it was about. I then threw it for her, but she was a little distracted with the seeds of flowers on the fence.
I picked her up and sat her down, I pet her and got her attention again, then threw the stick. This time she fetched it. She likes the stick, but she Loves to carry the water bowl around with her lol.
After she got used to the back yard, she seemed hungry so I took her into the kitchen and gave her some food. She had to sniff it out first to make sure the bowl was okay to eat out of lol. But then she dug right in. Hungry pup she was!!! She ate over half the bowl, then layed down next to it and curled up from being so full lol.
Tasha is a cutie pie! She's so little, I remember when dukie was that little. After eating, she wanted a Valantine cookie, so I gave her one, then i gave her a piece of the spooky cake.
^^^Asks for Valantine Cookie^^^
After eating, I took her to the clothes closet to pick out a collar for her. She chose the pretty pink one with the heart dog tag.
I've decided to keep her just around the house for now, for she is already unsure of everything and I don't want to move too quickly with her. So I took her into the Family room to have a look around.
lol she thinks it's fun to play keep away from me with the toys. She enjoys playing tug a war, and she enjoys being brushed.
Once Tasha seemed well rested in the house and used to her surroundings, I took her back into the kitchen to work on somethings with treats. Mostly just rewarding her for trying new things. To teach her to use her head.
Wow! Tasha is incredibaly smart!!! Very quick learner! I started out with the milk bone treats. Instead of starting with down tricks, I started to her sides and above. She learned to Side pass left, and right, and to jump straight up in the air, all with the bone treat. Depending on where you place the bone, depends on which direction she will jump. I then decided to try a down trick. I used the steak for this, first try she did a down! Yay! I rewarded her for that. I got another treat, cued her to down, and she rolled over on her back and wiggled. I with held the treat and tried again. She went into a down. I did it a couple more times and now she already knows her down!
We kept the session short, then went to the familly room so she could rest. Being a puppy, she gets worn out easilly. Tasha quickly fell asleep on the blue Pillow.
When I first brought her home, I introduced her to Duke just for a quick intro to see how they'd do together. They instantly liked each other! So good to know that will work out. I'll do a better intro with them at a later time.
When Tasha awoke, I took her to the clothes closet for a quick Stacking session. She seems to love doing a good Dali pose, but she has a hard time placing her head in the correct spot in the profile stack. We'll have to work on that. (Later I got a good dane pose)
After her session, I put her away for the night and left it with that. It went well!
