Sled Dog Breeding Project

I eventually want to make a website for all of this, but right now I just don't have time to make one. So until I do have time, I'll just be using this thread

Information

Our Sled dog Prefix is; Togo's

We will be adopting 10 foundation dogs to start us off with. I plan to do a 'closed studbook' type of a thing, so I won't be able to add any more first generation dogs after I pick the 10 that will start us out. These 10 dogs will all be different breeds.

All of our foundation dogs will be registered over at PKC, naturally raised, and shown, and will make up their own sled team. Of course I only have room for 6 dogs on a team, so 4 will need to be apart of another team. Most likely mixed in with some 2nd gens once some are born.

I won't be waiting for titles and such to breed them I don't think. That would take longer than I want. I will wait for them to turn into adults though. I'm not sure I'll be letting them choose mates and such either, we'll see though. With it being a closed studbook, I will need to really keep an eye on who is bred to who so we can try our best to avoid inbreeding.

All pups not kept in the project will be put up for adoption here, and will be available to pet or racing homes.

So yeah! I think that's all the information. I'll be adopting our foundation dogs soon and introducing them
