I want to show off my growing team of Huskies! I am so proud of all of them and love them like family <3

We'll start with...

Snowball

Isn't she lovely? I adopted Snowball from TweakFox on November 9th, 2016. I seen her up on her website and just had to apply for her. I love everything about her and she's made a wonderful addition to our family. I also have her to thank for re-sparking my interest in the CK Huskies and doing sled dog trials in general. She seems to be leaning towards wheel dog or team dog position. To my surprise she is actually Jack's sister.

Jack

I adopted Jack from Tweakfox back in 2015 I believe. He has such lovely coloring and I love him to bits. Jack is the goofball of the team. Always playing games and trying to get out of working too hard. His favorite thing to do is sleep. He's kinda lazy and I love that about him. He'll have to go somewhere in the middle to be sure he doesn't slack off during any of the races.

Joy

I adopted Joy from Tweakfox in early 2016 (Are you noticing a pattern here? XD) I originally raised her in my p5 game but recently got a new computer and wanted to build a team in p4. So I re-downloaded her from the email with her original p4 file. She was a puppy again so I am re-raising her and getting to know her again. She is a very energetic, focused, and smart pup! She catches on quickly and does what ever I ask of her. Before she ran as lead and swing dog, I have a feeling she still will. She actually has already earned her SD title so she'll be trying for her SDX once she's fully grown again.

Shamrock

I adopted Shamrock straight from the AC in the game to be apart of Duke's Group November PKCAN project. He is a very sweet boy and catches on to his training very quickly. I'm not sure where he'll be on the team yet, we'll have to see how his training develops. He is best friends with Alaska.

Alaska

I adopted Alaska straight from the AC in the game as well for the same reason as I did Shamrock. Alaska is also super smart and does well in his training but he also has an attitude if he doesn't get his way. I'm not 100% where he'll end up on the team either.

Winnie

Winnie just arrived here last night! I adopted her from TweakFox and I'm super excited to have her here. I let her get all settled in last night (I took tons of pictures of her) and this morning I introduced her to the rest of the crew. Her and Jack are already in love and I definitely see future puppies from them. I had to temporarily spay her so they didn't mate already!

So that is my team so far! I do plan to add 2 more to my team when I see the right ones I want to add. They might be puppies I keep from my own breedings when the time comes. We'll see. Duke's group is also going to be having a big race that requires 16 dogs so.... I'm not sure if I'll be going for `16 dogs or not. I don't know if I'm ready to handle two teams of dogs yet.

So I've decided to go for a full 16 dog team. I am up to 11 Huskies now so let me introduce our newest pups!

All of them came from Shade!

Attu

Attu came from a litter that I requested. I really liked his parents and was hoping for a cream and white pup... but I love his pure white coat! He caught on to all of his training pretty quickly. Still a ways to go but I really enjoy working with him.


Chinook

I adopted Chinook on accident. I got confused when applying for the pups I wanted and wrote down the wrong names. They were sent to me and I couldn't send Chinook back. With Shade's permission I decided to keep her too. I love her tan and white coat <3


Tikaani

I fell in love with Tikaani's unique markings and black and white coat <3 He is the only Husky I have with the drop tail which makes him even more unique.

Timber

I was looking for a cream and white pup and fell in love with his black ears! He's so cute <3


Tundra

I really love Tundra's Gray and White coat which is what drew me to her. She was out of a breeding Shade showed us on our FB chat and I couldn't resist bringing her home.


Still a lot to learn about these pups so not much to say about them all yet! I love them all though and have started their training. I'll try to get better at updating this post with their training pics!

I'm having trouble keeping this thread updated. I think it's because I can't take pictures with backgrounds on and that really bothers me.

But... let's get you guys up to date on what is going on!

First of all, Snowball and Jack have earned their GPC & XPC Titles;

SNOWBALL


JACK


Next, Winnie and Jack bred and had a lovely little girl yesterday. I named her Terra <3


We are expecting two more puppies out of Snowball X Shamrock & Joy X Shamrock.

They should arrive either later tonight or tomorrow.

Now I figure I should post an updated pic of everyone, they have all grown so much!

Winnie is now age 73


Shamrock, Joy, and Alaska are all age 63


And our newest pups are not so much of a pup anymore at age 33 they are now technically an Adult.

Attu & Chinook


Timber, Tundra, and Tikaani


I'm not sure where the newest pups will run on the team, they will make up my 2nd team of dogs but come together for a full team of 16 for the big DG race.

However, I have decided on where my dogs on my first team will be positioned.

Lead Dogs; Snowball & Shamrock
Swing Dogs; Joy & Alaska
Team Dogs; Jack & Winnie
Wheel Dogs; To be determined (I'll be adopting some Malamutes to fill this position).


EDIT-

Results just in!

Snowball and Jack both earned their ChPC titles!



Then.... Jack placed BCP in his first Companion show!!!



And 2nd place in his first Obedience Show!
