Yesterday I practiced encouraging Quail and Reeses to compete in flyball. Flyball is a sport were you start a timer and encourage your dog or cat to jump through a hoop on the left side of it, then you try and get them to pick up any kind of ball and get them to jump back through it holding the ball, you're awarded points based on how many minutes it takes for them to accomplish this. I've always wanted to get my athletic sports-lovin' Quail into Flyball, I think now would be a great time for us to practice!
^ First I let the fun pair play with the Auto-ball together, Reeses insisted on swatting it out of the display case, and he was pretty gutted when Quail held it in her mouth and wouldn't let him have it xD
The playful pups also wrestled, Reeses likes jumping in the tall lassie's face Oh and did I mention Reeses is 89 on the brainslider? Blimey, my little puppy is almost all grown up! He's almost old enough to enter traditional dog shows and I've already assigned him the show-name "Thor's One True Treat" Because he was such a sweet little treat from Thor <3 (Thanks again Thor )
Anyway, I didn't know two dogz could hang off of the auto-ball at the same time! So feisty and competitive
I tried to use the auto-ball to practice flyball with them but I couldn't get them to continuously hold it, after-all it would feel weird to hold a rotating gyrating ball in your mouth haha
^ Reeses went first, while Quail tried to align herself to jump, hold your horses Quail!
Reeses did pretty good and it didn't take him too long to leap, took him a bit longer to pick the ball up on his second jump though.
^ Go Reeses! Such a jolly good lad ^_^ They're both fans of the soccer-ball, but they really like the stick! Maybe we should make a new sport called "Fly-stick" with all the same rules except the dogz hold sticks when they fly through the hoop xD
^ Quail actually did it faster then Reeses! Good girl Quail, using those lovely long legs to her advantage
By the way, I'm currently working on a sketch of Quail using a few charcoal pencils of mine I've had some charcoal pencils for a while now and there's some really brilliant ways you can use them for art, so I was going to watch some videos to learn those techniques and create some fun drawings of my Petz <3
