EDIT: Blimey! I can't believe I've posted 24 pages worth of updates of my naturally raised dogz! I've been doing this for three years, but that still feels like a lot of posts xP I appreciate everyone who has followed my furry family and watched it grow <3 Naturally raising generation after generation is truly a special experience. Especially with the Summer Olympics that Thor started that took the fun to another level! I'm happy to unveil my new website that showcases profiles for every member of my naturally raised family You can visit it here. Meet Quail, the Dalmatian Labrador mix.
My first ever officially naturally raised pup, raising in progress




I've finally made up my mind and decided which puppy I'm going to naturally raise here on Duke's Group. I wanted a cute Labrador mix or Tamsin, so with the help of some breeding stock from Cirrutopia and a couple hours breeding from my lines I finally conceived just the pup I was looking for.
A grey halfie puppy with pleasing pointy wolf-like ears, and sweet pink eyes! When I look into those eyes it's like a sweet lollipop. She's also got white patches as you can see I was super excited to get her, I'm naming her Quail, because I like quails and Quail just fits her, reminds me of playfulness for some reason. She has a healthy supply of curiosity, although she's a bit timid of new food and toys. She's so sweet and excitable! I'm learning her personality and going to start teaching her tricks!

Thanks guys I think I accidentally bred while I had a great Dane German Shepherd OW file, because she's 3% Great Dane and I think she inherited some German Shepherd traits

This is an overview of how me and Quail's day went yesterday.

Day 1: Age 12 on brainslider. 9 weeks old.

Here we are, in our nice room with drapes

Quail: What's this? It smells like wood

MsWildiful: Yes, it's wood, it's a stick! Congratulations you found a stick xD

She's frightened of the stick, maybe she thinks it's a tree's detached arm, in that case it's creepy and I don't blame her. I guess everything can be spooky if you let your imagination run too wild, hopefully she's not a scaredy dog.

I try to encourage her to chew the bone, to support good dental health and for calcium! yum

She enjoys the brush, I should also try and clip her nails while she's young to get her used to it before she gets too old and starts disliking the clippers, this happened with my real dog and she should like getting a manicure

Ah yes, drink some hot chocolate, Quail

Quail: Nah..

MsWildiful: I thought all puppies like Hot chocolate! Wait, hot CHOCOLATE?! PF Magic is trying to poison our dogz! Well maybe it's Chocolate free Hot Chocolate, what...

She's quite fond of the leprechaun, I'm sure she wants some St Patrick's day Irish luck! She wishes she was born in March when she could  have celebrated, don't worry Quail, we'll have to do something special for your Irish Affinity!

Quail: Rawr!

MsWildiful: Woah, is that some wild side coming out? Let's go outback and serve you some food!

She ran around with the bowl of kibble for a while without nibbling on any, don't you have an appetite?

here's a juicy succulent leg of meat, a protein rich meal, is this more suitable?

MsWildiful: Don't worry, Quail. It's not alive!

MsWildiful: are you rolling on the meat? You're just like my real dog, don't roll in dead things or play with your food, silly!

Earlier she didn't have an interest in eating the tasty mashed potatoes and left over meat on a plate, not fresh enough I guess, but she did strike a pose! how stylish

I mean it's not the right way but it's still snazzy, she has showing potential

I let the Frisbee fly around a couple times, she liked it and chased it but didn't even try to catch it!

Quail: Yikes, are those dog toes?!

MsWildiful: No they're only little tiny bits of ground beef baked into a pleasing biscuit treat

Quail: Sweet!

Quail: *Nervously: Yum...

She wasn't nervous after she tasted how good they were lol

I'd love to do a lure coursing trial with her to get her JC Title but she  has to be 35 on the brainslider, so until then she can practice chasing the auto ball.
