[This is intended to be a one-stop record of my gameplay, rules and active petz; please don't post here.]
Game version used: 99% Dogz 4, Dogz 5 is used for breeding litters
Prefix: Rising Storm
Adoption rules:
> Treat nicely (yes they are "just" pixels, but still) and keep active for at least a year. Don't just allow to sit in a folder or as a website decoration.
> Offer me the right of first refusal for the first year after adoption. Selling/trading is not allowed; adopting out or deleting after a year, or should I go AWOL, is fine.
> Natural petz may be brexed to your heart's content, but already brexed/hexed petz should only be hexed to fix errors/change small details (eyelids, tongues etc.) and change furfile paths.
> Gender swapping and name changes are allowed, but let me know so I can keep my records accurate.
> If a dog comes with a genotype (a long string of letters) in its notes, please keep it there in case the pet is returned or it is used for realistic breeding. Adopters do not have to use this for their purposes, however.
> Give credit where credit is due. Don't copy code, though you may use it to learn.
> My prefix is Rising Storm; please use it when adopting a bred/hexed pet from me (include your own if you wish).
> If a pet has a different set of rules in its notes, or it was adopted out with them, they take precedent over these.
Showing: I enjoy showing, but I keep it casual. If petz don't get titles, it's fine, I have no requirements for titling to breed because that just makes it feel like a production line. Adopters have no requirement to show either (that would be hypocritical of me), but it's always nice to see a dog active!
Genetics & Breeding: My favourite aspect of dogz is the genetics and breeding part, because I am a dog genetics dork; it is, quite literally, one of my autistic "special interests". All my dogz will be hexed realistically (or with realistic made up genetics) unless adopted from someone else. If that happens I'll make the genetics as realistic as I can, or maybe make up Petz-genetics for the common traits. Yes, I really am that much of a dork.
I use standard gene designations where established, and where not use shorthand and best knowledge. The system I use can be seen here.
Breeds: Irl and petz, sighthounds are my favourite group, and out of them - the Borzoi. I adore Borzoi, so I'll always have a fair few. Whippets, Greyhounds, Ibizan Hounds, Azawakh and Sloughi are my next favourites. I do enjoy the variety of OBs though - I'm particularly fond of Dachies, Poodles, GSDs and Great Danes - and love to mix random breeds together to see what happens. Due to limited space, I have to be frugal in what and how many I keep, however.
Aging: I have my own aging system of 1 month = 1 year; when petz reach 12 RL months they have a chance of "dying" every day which increases with age. This allows me to maintain a fair number of petz without getting overwhelmed, as eventually they will "pass on", and actually makes the time spent more precious.
Breedfiles:
WHK Borzoi
I used edited versions of the PFM files for the most part, mix and matching with various hexers and some custom. Please don't ask me to remember exactly which is which
Show coat poodle | Fixed P5 dogz with original personalities | Dogz 4 personality pack | Floppy eared Dane
I use a lot of textures; if you see one you like, PM me and I'll try to remember where I got it from!
