Points and placements in Trials
1st place winner will be awarded points depending on how many other dogs are entered. So there must be at least 2 petz entered for points to be awarded. Here's a run down of how points would go for 1st place;
1 Entry - 0 Points, no placement
2 Entries - 1 point
3 Entries - 2 points
4 Entries - 3 points + 1 major
5 Entries - 4 points + 1 Major
6 Entries - 5 points + 1 Major
^You get the idea right?
The major points can only be earned by the 1st place winner and only if there are 4 or more entries.
Any placement after 1st will get points dropping from what the 1st place winner received until you get to 1 point, then the remaining placements will all receive 1 point.
Example of a show with 5 entries;
1st- 4 points + 1 major
2nd- 3 points
3rd- 2 points
4th- 1 point
5th- 1 point
Example of a show with 10 entries;
1st- 9 points + 1 major
2nd- 8 points
3rd- 7 points
4th- 6 points
5th- 5 points
6th- 4 points
7th- 3 points
8th- 2 points
9th- 1 point
10th- 1 point
15 Points + 2 Majors = Field Champion (FC) Prefix title (Meaning it'll go in front of the dog's show name)

::TASK::
Simply take out an Auto rolling ball and give it a toss. Take a pic as your pet gets close to it so the ball is in the picture too. Enter the first pic you get, don't aim for perfection!
Dogs are judged on; Follow, Speed, Ability / Agility, Endurance, and Enthusiasm when judging by pictures. Or you can judge using random.org and randomly select the winners.
In petz terms, Follow is like focus, Speed is how fast they look like their going, Ability / Agility is if they look like they are handling themselves well, Endurance is if they look like they are staying at speed or slowing / stopping, Enthusiasm is their expression.
Here's more examples of acceptable entries!
All are acceptable entries, they will all be judged on the things mentioned above so some will do better than others! Again, don't aim for perfection otherwise judges will be forced to use the random generator because all pics will look too similar.
Picture and dice method
Another judging option is to judge the pictures on the things mentioned above then do 2 dice rolls for each thing too. Add the dice up, then multiply it by the score you gave. Total all of the scores up for a final / total score. Petz place highest to lowest. Example of judging in this way is HERE.
In Game method #1
This is a fun way to do this where everyone can do their own thing in their own game! They'll need to use a timer / stopwatch for this. Take their pets to an empty room and toss out 5 auto rolling balls. They'll need to time them on how fast they can catch the auto rolling ball. All they need to do is catch them, they don't have to bring it back! Pawing the ball doesn't count as catching! They'll need to post their times and a video, GIF, or pictures of each catch. Fastest times score higher.
Here's Jax demonstrating this method;
In Game method #2
This is another fun way to do this where everyone can do their own thing in their own game! They'll need to use a timer / stopwatch (google stopwatch and you get a good one). Take your pet to the toy closet and get out a regular ball. Set it down for your pet to check out and wait for them to bring it to you to throw. As soon as they drop it at your hand for you to throw, start the timer then give it a good toss. Keep your hand on the timer stop button and stop the timer as soon as they catch the ball. This is their time! Fastest times win.
Here's an example with Jax and this is the fastest time I've seen so far. The first time I did it with him was higher.
They can post a picture of their pet catching the ball, or do a video entry or even a GIF entry like Jax's demo above. I use ScreenToGIF to do these GIF videos.
I also made a special scene and lure toy for this method that people are welcome to download and use as well! So instead of going to the toy closet and using a ball, you'd go to the Lure Coursing scene and give the lure a good toss.

Send in method
There are also trials where you can actually send your pet in. For these, petz compete against each other at the same time. They are taken to the playpen or desktop and allowed to get to know each other for a minute or two. Then an Auto rolling ball is taken out and wiggled around to get everyone's attention and in the same area. Then the auto ball is dragged around the boarder of the playpen or desktop for one lap. Petz place as they get back to the starting point. They can also be judged on Follow, Speed, Ability / Agility, Endurance, and Enthusiasm. If any interferes with another pet (tackles) they get DQ'd.
When hosting a trial like this, it's recommended to record the trial so you can look back on everything and judge that way. It's also smart to take a screen shot as you get back to the starting point.
Here's an example video of a trial I held a while back;
