Here at DG we want to keep a relaxed, understanding atmosphere, but we do still need rules to keep things moving forward and fair, thus we have a few rules regarding shows.
> The most obvious rule is do not cheat. If you suspect someone of cheating, PM a staff member.
> Respect the judge's decisions. If you feel a judge is not judging fairly, PM a staff member.
> While the reuse of pictures is allowed, we suggest that entrants either use different pictures of the same pet, or cycle through different petz, just to keep things from getting stale. Some judges do place lower, pictures they have seen several times before.
Anyone may create a show, but we suggest anyone new to the showing scene takes a couple of months just to show their own petz and get used to the systems before opening one themselves. We also expect of judges:
> That shows will be judged within 2 weeks of closing for smaller shows, and a month for larger ones or where graphics are being made.
> If you are unable to judge a show in time, please PM a staff member.
> Bumping/advertising shows to try to get more entries is allowed, but don't do it excessively. This includes the discord.
> If your show is still not filled after 2 months (from date posted), judge it anyway to the best of your ability. Placements in this case will be up to each judge (ie. top down or bottom up).
> If your show has no entries after 3 months, it will be moved to dead threads (not all shows are successful, unfortunately).
> Be realistic in what you can judge. If you have no idea how to judge realistic files, specify they should not enter, for example.
> Though not required, it is very helpful if judges change the title of their show to JUDGED when done.
> Staff will move shows to the appropriate sections and inform judges if their show needs to be judged. If the judge does not respond within a week, staff reserve the right to have it judged by a roving judge.
> We will not give out any sanctions for not judging shows, but if you regularly do not judge shows on time and do not work with staff to resolve the issue, we may have to intervene at staff's discretion.
These rules were worked out with Thor . If you have any issues, please PM me or her as other mods are not especially active, but please give us time to respond.
