Lobb's Gameplay log!

This is going to be my gameplay log, but first, a quick team intro!

Dill: I bred this dachie mixie a few days ago and I love how expressive he is! When picking out a dog for my team, I knew he had to be on it.

Recluse: an alley mixie I bred a couple of weeks ago or so. He's really fun and one of the petz I've been playing with a lot.

Penny: she's a hexie by Jess ♫☃️️ . She's one of the petz I've been naturally raising, though I'm glad I took a short break because now I'll get to finish raising her as part of the SumOly challenges.

Bite Me: hexie by Rho ! He's one of those cats I wish I could show but don't really have much of a chance to do it. That was a tiebreaker when I was picking out team members.

Tiger: a raccoon! She's hilarious and seems to be generally friendly with everyone so far. I wanted to have a wild on my team and she seemed like the right pick because she's so energetic.

Philly: hexed by gyiyg . Tt's hard to get good pictures of a tiny shrimp so Philly's the team mascot -- I knew this was the obvious and right choice when I found out that Team Angelfish's colour is rainbow. Philly's based on the BIPOC Pride flag and has been in my game for about a year now.

Today's prompt: hermit crab.

I usually hate taking multiple cats to the beach because someone inevitably ends up getting splashed and freaking out, so I made this a dogs-only challenge.

Penny was very keen on investigating the crab shell. Dill was a bit less certain about it.

I'm sure this won't scare the crab at all

I was trying to take a cute picture of Penny. Dill decided to get in front of the camera AND close his eyes. Amazing picture right here

After running around so much (she kept picking up random things, like the driftwood, etc. and running around with them) Penny needed a quick nap.

THIS HAPPENED. Dill looked so worried when the hermit crab popped out!

Of course, Penny then needed to steal the shell and play with it a bit more. Gee, I wonder why the hermit crab won't pop out when she's around.

Dance party! Dill seems to feel like it's too hot to dance. I agree. I'd rather be taking a nap.

Recluse gave Bite Me the music box!

Maybe Bite Me does not believe in dancing?

It turns out that he does! Here's a really bad picture of his dance moves. Meanwhile, Recluse is mad at me for taking pictures.

Recluse enjoys singing AND dancing because he's just that talented. The showbiz better watch out!

I'd put Dill away when he started bullying Bite Me, so I brought him out again along with Tiger. Tiger likes to do that crouching-in-place dance move.

Dill is more low-key about his dancing and singing.

I brought out Penny and Philly together. Bad idea! Penny hates Philly because he keeps chasing her lol.

She LOVES singing it, though! As long as there's a music box nearby, she'll be singing her heart out. <3

Philly, it seems, really does not believe in dancing OR singing. Philly DGAF.

REWARDS!

I've been training tricks with Dill, so I've had lots of opportunities to reward him! Here's my favourite picture:

I've been teaching Penny to catch the frisbee so I tried to reward her with some cheese.

She didn't like it and even decided to turn her butt to me as a display of DISDAIN.

Bite Me seems to enjoy any and all food, but his intensity eating a cupcake cracks me up:

Unexpectedly, Recluse didn't like the cheese, either:

Philly likes popcorn?

I don't know if anyone remembers this raccoon video, but it lives rent free in my head:

Tiger LOVES the cotton candy and even does happy little jumps about it. It's too cute <3

Today's prompt is thirsty. Naturally, I decided to try to give my petz some water.

Bite Me, would you like some water?

"NO."

Dill spent ages sniffing the water bowl. Twice. I was hoping he'd drink from it since he was more tired than the others, but no such luck.

"What is this?"

"It's a new toy, isn't it? Thank you!"

Recluse decided to try to eat it.

Tiger established dominance from the start. You've got to intimidate those water bowls so they'll know who's in charge.

She then decided to bat it around.

After carrying it for like a second, Tiger decided to wash her hands. Water bowls, so gross.

Philly just decided to turn it into a little pool. Maybe shrimp-flavoured water would have been more appealing!

Boomerang

(I decided to change the order for this one.)

Bite Me was intrigued by the strange flying object.

He picked it up when it fell and decided to investigate it. Look at his eyebrows!

He was a bit frustrated that the boomerang kept evading him. This went on for a loooong time.

Eventually, he decided to quit and take a bath. The boomerang even hit him but he just didn't care lol.

Dill was initially concerned about something flying around indoors. When the boomerang landed, he "caught" it by picking it up and running away with it. That counts, I guess!

Penny went from confused to...

... somehow actually catching it! I'm impressed.

Recluse actually seemed to understand how the boomerang's motion worked, because he kept anticipating it.

He didn't catch it, but this happened. I love this cat hahahahaha.

Tiger had nothing but disdain for this inedible boomerang.

I've decided to combine three entries in one to make a little "story", I hope that's ok!

Beach ball/Ocean wave/Collection from the sea

It was time for a day at the beach. This time, featuring everyone!

Penny seemed a bit scared of the beach ball.

Recluse initially ignored the ball, being more concerned with annoying some poor hermit crab.

A wave hit them and they obviously freaked out.

Penny got over it pretty fast and even got hit by waves without panicking, but Recluse decided to yell at the sky.

They started singing to each other, it was so cute!

They seemed more interested in wrestling than playing with the ball, but I finally got them to do it.

Penny was very interested in poking the ball and chasing after it... until she fell on the hermit crab. Poor crab.

Recluse enjoyed punching the ball until he got sleepy.

Dill chose to take a nap on the towel (where the water, snacks, and music box were).

Dill and Bite Me decided to investigate the crab together.

Dill was not feeling very well.

Bite Me got hit by a wave and promptly freaked out. He did NOT want to play with the ball. Why play when you can sulk?

Dill was only mildly interested in it. Why play when you can nap?

I don't know what to say about this.

While upsetting the long-suffering hermit crab, Philly got hit by a wave (and yes, freaked out).

This didn't stop him from trying to threaten the ball.

Tiger didn't get hit by any waves! He did chase the ball, though.

Mainly so he could use them as props for showing off his beach style, I guess!

We'd collected some drift wood and a fish bone from the beach, but that's not really a collection, so it was time to go on a tropical vacation!

Penny was pretty impressed by the pirate flag.

Recluse was initially intimidated by... a coconut.

I decided to play a little game. If they picked up items and brought them to the cursor near the pirate flag, they'd get to take them home.

Recluse brought his coconut. Penny brought a very worrisome parrot toy.

Dill found a bottle! Sadly, it's empty, save for a message. No drinks

I was alternating between the South Seas island and the regular beach, where Bite Me managed to find a shell! I almost never see these, so that was nice.

Tiger also found a bottle but was just not interested in retrieving it.

Instead, he decided to have his picture taken with the pirate flag.

Philly found a treasure chest. It was empty, unfortunately, so we'll keeping living in a normal petz house instead of upgrading to a mansion

This is a bad picture, but it's Philly and Peg singing a song (a sea shanty?) together!

Meet another pet

Dill met Ragtag.

He's often grumpy to other dogs and I guess that caught up with him because Ragtag decided to chase him.

I love this picture.

Penny met Ragtag too, but this time it was Ragtag's turn to be chased.

I think they were just playing, though, because when I sent Penny into the case, Ragtag crumpled up from the sheer SADNESS.

Ragtag did NOT enjoy meeting Tiger. When Ragtag tried to catch a mouse, he just showed up and stood in the way to be photographed, lol.

Recluse met Alan. Alan didn't like him.

Ragtag did not care about Alan's opinion and decided to pick his nose instead.

Philly met Mail and proceeded to angrily attack him. Poor Mail.

EDIT: Oops, forgot to include Bite Me's picture!

Bite Me met Mail and it was pretty uneventful. He's more individualistic and tends to do his own thing, so that makes sense.

Mice

I've got a migraine coming on so I'll keep this short.

Bite Me managed to reach a mouse, but didn't seem interested in holding onto it.

He was considerably more intrigued by the butterfly.

"Ahh the strange flying animal is gone!"

He seemed sad that he kept failing to catch it.

Penny was a bit scared of the butterfly.

BUTT-ERFLY haha get it I'm 12

She made some (failed) attempts at catching the mice but mostly managed to scare them off.

Recluse was determined to catch the mice.

He actually did it! Then almost immediately let it go.

Tiger didn't care about mice. He just wanted to hop happily and look cute.

Dill was concerned when he saw the mice stealing his treats

He tried to catch them, to no avail.

When he finally got close enough to one of them he just... did this sad look.

Philly is really good at catching mice. I'm disturbed.

Dress up!

I set out a bunch of summery/bright/wacky clothes and accessories, then let two auto-rolling balls loose to play the clothes game

I decided the participants would be Dill, Penny, Recluse, and Tiger. Bite Me can't wear many clothes due to addball limits and Philly is hard to see clothes on.

The end result!

Tiger's outfit seems like a high-concept thing you'd see on a runway. He's wearing 6 items: hair bow, sunglasses, bow tie, shirt, pants, and tail bow.

Dill's outfit looks kind of New Romantic. He's also wearing 6 items: hat, sunglasses, bandana, shirt, pants, and he snuck a yellow collar in there!

Penny's outfit is totally the most extravagant but also the least well-matched. She's wearing a grand total of 8 items: pants, tail bow, shirt, scuba goggles, two hair bows, and a bandana.

Finally, Recluse's outfit! Two hair bows, a bandana, goggles, a nose bandage, pants, and a tail bow for a total of 7 items.

The winner, quantity-wise, is Penny! She managed to wear lots of clothes and was clearly strategic in her wardrobe choice.

The winner of "best look" is, in my humble opinion, Recluse.

I might keep most of his choices on him xD
