The Misadventures of Many Children Whom I Did Not Kidnap
...What's with that look? I didn't kidnap them. Says so right there in the thread title smh.
In other words, today begins my naturally raising thread. I'll be playing with probably more petz than most people do at once, but I have enough free time right now that I know I can still give each in this batch the proper attention they deserve. So, without further ado, let's meet the petz:
First are the newborns, introduced as a group because they're mostly just vibing with their mothers in the nursery right now.

I attempted to breed Himalayans way back when, and each mother is part of a breeding pair for their respective colors. I decided I wanted to raise some companion Himas, as well, leading to, in order of color, Seila, Jetsam, Cirrus, and Pebbles.
They're all girls except Pebbles, and all mostly concerned with...well, you know what newborns do. Cry, nurse, squeak, and cuddle. The mothers share a nursery right now, though they have some drama between them. That said, I still think its worth it so that the little ones can get to know each other as they grow, especially since they're younger than the other petz in the profile and will mostly have each other as playmates.
Besides, what's better than a kitten pile? Not much, that's what!

In another nursery is one more newborn:
Rune, who was uh. Produced very quickly by Spear and Distaff upon meeting. Distaff was initially adopted just to test the Newfoundland file I was working on, but these two fell in love so quickly I had to let them stay together!
See? Adorable! As I tweak the main file more, Distaff will probably get a light brexing too, but for now, I'll let her and Spear focus on the baby! I can't wait to get a better look at Rune once she starts running around!
And finally, the older trio!
And finally, the older trio!
Canfield: A bunny from FPMS on RKC! He surprise me quite a bit when he posed here! He's also 48th gen NIB, apparently! I've never really raised a bunny from a baby, so I'm really looking forward to the experience!
Makale: A kitten adopted from Bunni on her naturally raising site! I've taken forever to find the time to spend with him and start this project, but I'm really excited to get to know him now that I have! I'm so sorry Bunni I imagine it started to look like I just...wasn't gonna do this asfkjl;
Praul: a 10th Gen NIB PB Dali, born from a combination of four Dali lines, from lemonadelyric , Rho , Penny @ Just Dandy , and my own. I'm quickly learning he makes the funniest faces, consistently. Smug child. I'm hoping these three get along so they can be playmates, once I spend time with each one individually first!
I've only tried a naturally raising thread once before, and ended up pressuring myself so much to make regular updates that I overwhelmed myself and stopped posting. But this time I feel equipped to see it through to the end, and remind myself this is meant to be *fun!* So here's to a new year, new "putting less silly pressure on myself" me!
And I hope these guys end up being just as much fun for anyone reading, as well! Thoughts and comments are always welcome, after all!
