jimmy and ianto join the crew 💞

On August 3rd, my cat Jimmy was put to sleep after seventeen wonderful years with him. Today, a prompt to hex a real life pet was posted in Petz Life.

I was going to just keep him in my "showing off" crew, but I couldn't not naturally raise him, right? Except if I'm naturally raising Jimmy, then I couldn't not naturally raise Ianto, his best friend on Earth.

It's a pity that they can't be in love like I swear their real life counterparts were, but eh, it's fine. They tussle and groom each other like they used to, and Jimmy is already attached to Ianto; he gets all mopey when I put him away.

I was planning on doing this yesterday, but I apparently had a migraine that presented in a way that I legitimately thought I might have a stroke, so I was in the ER. BUT I'm feeling better now, so let's introduce them to the rest of the crew! (sans Zamazenta, who's in mama mode with her kitten, Zacian).

I'm going to split this up into two separate posts (Ianto and then Jimmy); it'd get uncomfortably long otherwise.

First is Cayenne, who ... well, I mean, you understand the worry there, with an alley and an oshie.

OH. OH I AM GOING TO CRY. look at them... ohhghh.... Cayenne is honestly so sweet with the kittens in general I've found, it's adorable, but this is the first time he's groomed and been groomed by one of them... oughghhhh they're so sweet...

Onto GT; I'd have kept Cayenne out for longer just due to the Cutes but he fell asleep lol.

This one went well too! They weren't as lovey-dovey as him and Cayenne, but they were interested in each other and were definitely friendly with each other, which is better than GT is with some Catz I could name >_>;; I'm glad everyone's really getting along with Ianto!  One might call him beloved.

Well...

...Okay, maybe not. Peridot wanted a lot more attention than he was getting, so he resorted to pouncing on Ianto, and it definitely wasn't playfighting; there was hissing involved. I had to separate them after a little bit. Honestly, I feel bad for Peri, but that's not a good way to handle it!

Since he already met Jimmy (obviously) and Zamazenta is, again, in mama mode, last up is Pianoforte. Who knows how this'll go? She loved Kiki, at least.

This one was sorta weird. I put Piano away after just a couple minutes, since she wasn't paying any attention to Ianto and he wasn't much better, but when I put her away, Ianto was all upset...

So that's promising, I guess.

I'm gonna go take Kiki and Ianto's FBC pictures, but I'll be back ... probably later today with some Jimmy stuff :3

Ianto and Kiki were very good babycats and cooperative for their FBC pics, so after a trip to the farmer's market, it's Jimmy time!

I'm curious to see if Cayenne will like Jimmy like he likes Kiki and Ianto. I'm not sure it's possible for Petz to like kittens (or puppies, i guess) specifically, but there's aaaalmost a pattern going on...

WUAAAAA HE'S SO CUTE. THEY'RE SO CUTE. CAYENNE IS THE PERFECT CAT. It's too bad Peridot is so scared of him, cuz he's really good with kittens.

I didn't have such high hopes for GT, though ...

And I was right for it. He's not unfriendly, he's just... disengaged? Which is a bit sad, but at least he has his lovely mate Pianoforte, even if they did have a little help from the love potion, lol. There was some cute mirroring that went on here though! Jimmy is a cute little guy in Petz too.

Jimmy's already met Kiki and of course Ianto, so next was Peridot, who by the way is going to be an adult tomorrow ... thankfully there are no fertile girl cats right now, because these guys CANNOT keep breeding. this is untenable. Anyway, back to Jimmy.

So, this sorta busted my theory that Peridot picks fights for attention, because Jimmy was actually paying more attention to him than the other way around, and he still started pouncing on him all the time after a few minutes. So uh, I'm really hoping he grows out of this phase. I'm sure he'll calm down when he's an adult. Haha... ha....

Last up is Pianoforte- maybe I should've waited until Zamazenta didn't have a baby kitten with her? Ah well, it's fine.

Eh, this was sorta nothing. Maybe I didn't give them enough of a chance to get to know each other, but they just did their own thing, and even when they did notice each other, they didn't really do anything about it. I guess it's good that Piano paired up with GT, then- pair the spares or whatever.
