everett was born february 23, 2016 and is 8 years old. i received her as an adultand didn't give myself the opportunity to naturally raise her- so i am doing that now!181 generations - cali mix/scp she like's beef + leftovers - loves the color red partner: (possibly magpie, she'll decide her partner when she's an adult)origin in february of 2017 i participated a grab bag thread by deannieangelini and she was included in one of the two grabbags! instantly i fell in love with her, admiring her spontaneous energy and very positive nature. Constantly she's been one of my favorite catz. She's one of the reasons I brought myself back into the petz community in late winter of 2023.
everett isn't of age to enter into shows yet!

off forum i've spent a fair amount of time with everett, but wanted to document a specific trip that seems to be a favorite of mine. i really like nature and camping, and wanted to take everett out into the outdoors! i'm excited! we're gonna make smores, sit under the stars and explore a bit of the wilderness for just a night. she had a snack in the kitchen and helped herself to some marshmallows while i got things packed. she got so excited she was running absolutely everywhere around the toy closet and wouldn't sit still for the camera. obviously she has a lot of energy today ;o;
we left and headed towards the woods, where we would hike 2 miles into the forest and camp out there. all that traveling made her pretty sleepy, but that energy came back as we reached the campsite and the snacks came out! there was a few bugs at the site, ones of which she hunted with fervor. she picked a dirt spot to watch the night sky, and later we'd sleep warm in a tent. we went on a few short hikes to kill some time, most of them at the nearby river and through the brush.
when it started to get dark, we made our way back to the campsite and watched with wonder as fireflies started to appear! she swatted at a few, but often they were quick to get out of the way of her paws. even at the campsite they shimmered in the shadows, causing them to appear like tiny stars in the darkness that meshed with the distant giants up above. everett got so cozy by the fire that she didn't even point out three constellations before she fell asleep. after putting out the fire we went into the tent, and when morning came everett was already out and about!
we hiked back out, went home and she had a nice long bath to clean any dirt off. i think she had a lot of fun! it's good to know that she has all this energy still, since i hope to have her as a host for playdates in the future. she's growing into a wildly adventurous and spontaneous little calico! next documented occasion she'll bring a few of her friends to see how she does in group scenarios.
more adventures with everett are soon to come!! ♡
