Welcome to this year's Pupcup! I'm your hostess, MsWildiful. The purpose of this event is to evaluate this generation of Auvieay puppies to find the cream of the athletic crop.
All of these puppies are sisters and sixth generation. Each will receive 2 minutes each of flyball, soccer, and frisbee training, after which they will compete and their scores will be documented. Their points will be tallied and the one with the most points will be declared Best of Athletic Generation! Despite showing genetic evidence of having no significant athletic abilities, I decided it was only fair to give Sieta's sisters a chance to not only do what they were bred to do, but compete in a fair trial. Plus, I want Sieta to win fair and square based on her works rather than the acrobatic value number in her genes; it's a lot more fun this way  Will Sieta stay focused and defeat her sisters in this athletic contest? or will she fall under the sin of bitter rivalry choosing to be a hollaback girl? Let's find out... Meet the competitors:Nova Cute and smol, but has plenty of rivalry for her sisters. She's a trotter and super clumsy! I love her blue eyes. Tang and Baby  These two apparently heard me talking about them and know they were supposed to be born with Sieta's athletic talents, so they have anger within despite being raised with love and given attention training.
Sieta She's playful, full of energy, and loves doing flips! She's a part-time trotter. I love her personality and how her ears give her Pitbull vibes. All puppies have completed their training and the competition will be coming soon  |

Trial #1 FRISBEE Frisbee Trial Soundtrack: Icona Pop - I Love It (feat. Charli XCX)
Nova Miss: 9 Catch: 0 She had the spirit and was focused in pursuing the Frisbee, but out of all 9 of her attempts she didn't catch it once. I give her an A for effort! Tang Miss: 6 Catch: 3 Tang actually did pretty well. She caught the Frisbee more times than I thought she would. You can see that she looks quite determined and even a little angry in her gif lol. Baby
  Miss: 0 Catch: 0 Baby lived up to her name and acted, well, like a baby haha. She was not at all interested in the frisbee and instead wanted to play with the butterfly. She also did a couple flips which was cute Sieta
 Miss: 3 Catch: 3 She's a silly little one. As I was setting up my timer and music before the trial, she decided to bury the frisbee so I had to go grab another one from the toy closet, LOL. During the actual trial, she spent more time chasing the frisbee than actually trying to catch it. I was surprised she had as many misses as catches, but I have to remind myself that she's still a puppy. To my surprise, this means she is tied with her sister Tang despite having drastically different acrobatic values (50 vs 98!) That's why I'm thinking if they were adults Sieta would have beaten her by a long shot, but this is why we're having this contest |

Baby DQ'dBaby may have made 9 jumps, but she didn't do a single one while holding a ball, so technically she is disqualified. She pounced at the balls a few times, but just didn't want to hold them. Living up to her name again lol Tang Flyball score: 9Tang did pretty well and is giving Sieta a run for her money! Nova Flyball Score: 7
Nova did well, but she wasn't as interested in Flyball as she was in Frisbee; I'm surprised she made 7 because she didn't seem to care most of the time. She tried hitting the hoop out of my hand a few times as if to fight the power lol. Sieta Flyball score: 10
Sieta did great and was continuously pursuing the requested jumps!

Trial #3 SOCCER ROUND 1
(Each round is 2 minutes long) This was chaotic for sure, but a lot of fun! The first half of the round, most of the pups were unfocussed as they ran around, but Sieta made the first goal!  During the second half, Tang leapt into action and scored two consecutive goals despite going up against Baby for possession of the ball as she was hot on her tail attempting to steal the ball!    In the last remaining seconds, Nova narrowly made a goal as I urgently rooted her on, cheering at my laptop screen xDDD lol! Score Sieta 1 Tang 2 Nova 1

Round #2 Tang and Baby were on hot pursuit of the ball while Nova throws her agonizing barks at them. Baby manages to land a goal!  Tang and Baby were on hot pursuit of the ball while Nova throws her agonizing barks at them. Sieta is seen throwing some shade as well. Baby manages to land a goal!  Nova and Sieta landed a goal simultaneously; Sieta respectfully, while Nova did so while trashbarking her opponents.   Sieta and Tang competed to take the ball. At the end, Tang stole the ball from Sieta, but ended up getting distracted. Tang and baby both clobber the ball! In the midst of the chaos, Nova lands a goal shortly before Baby brings her ball over to the goal on the left.  Puppy Nova unfortunately forgets she's holding the ball and that her job is to make the goal lol. Sieta and Tang go head to head once again and this time Sieta came out on top! Score

Round #3 In this round, Sieta was mostly distracted because she decided to make friends with her sister Baby, which is nice for a change because they usually despise each other, but now was not the time! haha.

The Results Tang, despite having an acrobatic value of 50, miraculously managed to defeat Sieta who possesses an acrobatic value of 98! "But how could this be?" I wonder. Afterall, acrobatic value controls how talented a pet is when it comes to catching frisbees, catching balls, and jumping hoops. I even gave Sieta and Tang a match for just the two of them to give Sieta another chance to beat her in frisbee with fewer distractions... However, Tang only beat her harder scoring 2 catches while Sieta only made one! This was a close catch!   Tang's victory is attributed to her excellent ability to focus despite all the trash talk and distractions from her competitors. I evaluated her personality traits, but cannot identify any factors that differ from Sieta's traits that would make her a better athlete.
Conclusion
In the end, they're just puppies and Sieta was not mature enough to put her rivalry with Tang aside to perform like she could have. Let this be a lesson to all:
Bitterness only hurts ourselves and has made Sieta a sore loser.(Although she did when by one point in Flyball) There's a reason the Bible says to forgive our brothers and neighbours. Sieta will always be my winner and I know she just has some growing up to do. Hopefully this event will help her humble herself and remember that just because she's the chosen one from Hershel's puppies doesn't mean she will win every game. On the other side, let Tang be an inspiration as she prevailed and did her best despite all of the bullying from the other puppies and came out victorious. A wise woman once said "Haters gonna hate... I'm just gonna shake it off!"

I found Tang and Sieta's rivalry to be so entertaining I couldn't help but make a short music video highlighting their relationship  As I took them out to record their interactions for this video, I noticed that Tang really does do all she can to sabotage Sieta's efforts. One time, Sieta pounced on a frisbee about to pick it up, but Tang came in immediately and stole it from her which really ticked her off, so I don't think I can blame Sieta for her feelings about Tang haha. |
