This is how Junior, Open, Special, and Veteran trials will be run.
All trials (Open, Specials, Veterans Stake) will require you to send in your pet to; dukesgrouppets@gmail.com / Trials will have a max of 10 petz entered at a time - If the entry limit goes over, I will hold another trial at the same time if there are enough petz over the entry limit.
On the day of the trial, I will bring all dogs out into my playpen. I will make sure all petz are fed, full of energy, and don't have any fleas or sickness before I start. I will bring out the Autoball, try to get everyone to the right side of my screen. Once I have everyone or most everyone I will hold the ball and bring it around the playpen. (Everything will be recorded)
Dogs will be judged on; Follow, Speed, Ability / Agility, Endurance, and Enthusiasm. This will determine which dogs get a Qualifying Run. Dogs who score 80 or higher will get a Qualifying Run. 100 is the max a dog can score. More about these below;
Follow - 20 points for following the lure for the whole trial. 5 Points deducted if they lost focus / didn't follow the lure. Dogs that don't finish the race at all will score very low with 5 points. Dogs who take major shortcuts will score 5 points as well. Staying mid screen / not close enough to the lure will deduct 5 points.
Speed - 20 points to the dog who places first. 5 points deducted for each placement after that. Dogs that don't finish the race at all will score 0 points.
Ability / Agility - Dog was able to make turns without any trouble / jumping / falling down / tripping. 20 points to dogs able to complete turns without any issue. 5 points deducted for each jump / trip / fall..ect.. Dogs crashing into each other will deduct 10 points
Endurance - All dogs able to keep the same speed and finish the race will receive 20 points. Dogs that slow down but still finish the race will receive 15 points. Dogs that slow down and don't finish the race will receive 5 points.
Enthusiasm - Dogs that look like they are enjoying themselves will receive 20 points. Sleepy / tired dogs will receive 15 points. Grumpy / Barking / Growling dogs will receive 5 points.
***
Determining the winner:
Dogs will finish the race in the order they reach the end point / where I stop the ball.
Only 1st place will be awarded points - More info on how many points you get in the Trials, Points, and Titles Thread.
***
General terms / info;
Shortcuts - Dogs taking a shortcut will not be placed 1st in the trial & will score low on their follow ability
Aggression - Barking / Growling will not cause a Disqualification, however if they go after another dog while barking / growling then they will be disqualified from the trial.
Disqualified dogs - Will be counted towards the total number of dogs the 1st place winner won over.
Lure Biting - 5 points will be deducted from their Enthusiasm points
