Week One: Day One! Prompt: Take out a pet you have never played with and try to find them a friend! I started sorting my new Alley Catz today. So I snapped a few pictures of them getting to know each other! Most of these still need names and I'll need to get pictures of them to add to my crew pages.

Week One: Day Two! Prompt: Dress-up: use the auto-rolling ball method to let your pet chose an outfit. I'm still sorting my new Alley Catz, so I brought a few of them out so they could try on some outfits ... I must say, they have interesting taste.

Week One: Day Three! Prompt: Play with a pet of the species you prefer less. I really do feel like I enjoy playing with my dogz and my catz equally. So I decided to instead play with petz from one of my less-favorite breeds: Russian Blues. For whatever reason, they're generally the catz I'm the least drawn to. But I know I have a few on my crew that I really enjoy (and also had some recently adopted - but not during Nodopt! - catz to meet). I also snapped what is now one of my favorite photos ...

Week One: Day Four!Prompt: Try to find out which of your catz are tricksters. I still had my Russian Blues in my game because I've been trying to figure out how to redo my crew pages --- and I figured I might as well start with them. While taking pictures for their fancy graphics, I tempted them with fishy treats to see which catz were tricksters. I actually had quite a few! So, I snapped some pictures and put together some graphics of them doing their tricks. Breakfast did all of his tricks while wearing a dashing hat. Carr, too, thought it was more fun to learn tricks while wearing some sort of headgear. Clang was especially silly and decided to stand a fish treat. Gooey loved to do 'superman' jumps! Preacher mostly enjoyed rolling and flopping. Radish had a fun variety of tricks to show-off! Hank, well, he tried his best. Actually, it appears that Hank might be more suited for agility ... Not all of the catz in my Russian Blue crew were tricksters though! There was some treat-stalking and treat-gazing. And many catz who preferred to hang-off the cursor/treat! The great news is I figured out how I wanted to redo my Crew Pages and got the Russian Blue page completed!

Week One: Day Five!Prompt: See how many treats it takes to get your pet to do a fat waddle. I was back to sorting alley catz today, so I decided to play with Burn (one of my 'oldies'; originally from 2007). Burn decided to hang off of Treat One. Treat Two meant it was time for a booty shake. Treat Three also needed to be held before consumption. Treat Four just made him mad. Treat Five wasn't that interesting (but he still ate it). Treat Six need to be mashed a bit before it was eaten. Burn decided to stalk Treat Seven a little bit. I swear I feed this cat ... Treat Eight caused him to have an itchy ear. Finally, getting a bit round with Treat Nine. Lucky number Treat Ten finally gave us the waddles! And what cute waddles they were.

Week One: Day Six!Prompt: Do some obedience training: teach a pet to come, sit, and lay down. I figured this would be easier to do with a dog, than a cat, so I put one of my favorite danes into my game: Dhourn. This is the dog that finally got me to download the Petz 5 breeds for Petz 4. She needs the jack russell. Dhourn is a big fan of treats, so I figured this should be relatively easy. Our first attempt at 'down' didn't work, she tipped over out of confusion. Then she flopped on the ground. But on the third try, we got a very nice 'down'! For come I just clicked the cursor over and she strolled right over. Sit was also pretty easy, she plopped-down pretty quickly.

Week One: Day Seven! Prompt: Create a cute graphic to show off some petz & share it! I had a rough week, so I've been unable to play petz much the last few days. That means I need to play a little bit of catch-up on the daily challenges. I good news, it's been easy to stick to 'nodopt' when I've been too busy for anything petzy. For today's challenge, I snapped a photo of a few 'wild animals'. How cute are they?!

Week Two: Day Eight! Prompt: Play with one of your oldest or most fave companion pet and tell us all about them I finished sorting my b&w shorthairs (which included splitting them into b&ws and velveteens!), so I figured I would switch gears and work on something completely different. Since I saw this prompt was coming, I put my hexed danes in my game, so I could play with some of my 'oldies.' First up, I have Amythest, from Jen (Twin); adopted in May 28, 2000. I recall admiring a pet she had posted on her site (I think it was an Excite Site?) and soon after this dane showed up on my site. At the time I think I had named my site Witz's Kennel & Cattery ... or something similar and was going by Emily. But Jen tagged the pet as 'For you Witz!' (or something similar) and I loved that and started going by Witzy. Butterfly was one of my first hexed petz that I was really proud of (hexed June 4, 2002). I remember being really thrilled that I had figured out how to add spots & change the color of them (for you youngins, our early editing programs were less user friendly ... so trust me, it was an accomplishment since I had no background in programming/computers). This dog is so great; so goofy and fun. And then we have one of my oldest-oldies, Ymir - May 1, 2000 (from Manda). The note in his profile reads: " Currently my favorite dane; very sweet; incredibly good poser, loveable and adores Candi and the bone treats. These things were true in the early 2000s and are still true now.

Week Two: Day Nine!Prompt: Decorate a playscene for an upcoming holiday and have a pet help you decorate. I don't really have a lot of holiday-themed things in my game, but I figured I could at least decorate for Christmas since the game comes with a few .toys that are Christmas-y. So, I grabbed one of my favorite danes, Hannibal (hexed by me; 2007) and ventured into the Toy Closet. Isn't he a cutie?! Hannibal thought the box of lights was really quite fun. He played with it while I decorated the room with them (placing them along the walls). However, he was less sure about the Christmas tree ... After it was fully decorated he expressed his displeasure that Christmas decorations were going up before Thanksgiving had passed. This look to me says: " Ugh. It's too early! Let's try to enjoy autumn a bit longer." Unfortunately, my game crashed as I was putting up more lights, so I didn't grab a screenshot of it. And when I restarted the game, all the holiday stuff was neatly tucked away in the Toy Closet. Which, I suppose is fine since Hannibal was not in the mood.
